Morongo, Pechanga, and San Manuel are the three most famous casinos here in SoCal, so if we expect any casinos to be in the game, it will most likely be a replica of at least one of these

I was watching the trailer today and noticed something that I hadn't noticed before.

So here's the full map, to get a sense of the scale, think that the heavily streeted area, being Los Santos itself, slightly bigger than Liberty City.

So a close up of the centre of Los Santos, featuring highways, beaches, LSX etc... Railway and circles for stations and flood control is drawn in there although it may be hard to see, especially the flood control but they are there

I used Registax to stack 10 frames of that area of the video and then stretched the contrast to bring out the ground level detail. Still can't tell if the background is mountains, however -- too blurred.

As of now it looks like mountains, but you can definitely see that the city will be bigger than what we see in the trailer. That seems to be an extension of the city into a suburban type area.

IMO it looks a lot like fog, rather than a mountain,bridge or highway.

Wow, great analysis, koeklin, matching the real life blue building to the camera viewpoint at the beginning of the trailer!!

 

Approximate Google Maps Street View locations:

 

The pink #3 location in koeklin's new picture is:

Pacific Avenue / Windward Avenue, Los Angeles, California, United States

 

The blue building with arches is at the intersection of

Speedway and Market, Los Angeles, California, United States

and can be seen in street view, but you can't get closer to it in Street View. When you look west toward the beach, you would be looking toward koeklin's yellow #1 viewpoint.

 

Muscle Beach, koeklin's orange #2 view, is at:

1800 Ocean Front Walk, Los Angeles, California, United States

but there is no street view there. But there are many snapshots of that area in Google Maps. R* did a beautiful job of modeling that whole Venice Beach area.
