Whilst im at it, i want to congratulate Rockstar on such a good job with the Hollywood Bowl.

 

 

That is the real bowl, and i think they do a good job on it's layout with the GTA V counterpart.

 

 

The 3 pillars on the top of the bowl are perfect, and now lets just hope concerts will be happening every so often and perhaps events you can attend!

Alright, not sure if this has been found yet. Now, this isn't completely mapping, but it's a real life counterpart i have found to one of the new screenshots, and it does give us a bit of mapping, with the location of the place.

 

This is that photo of Franklin who his spraying a Mini-Gun at a Coroner's Office (it says coroners on the sign, and ill show you for sure)

 

 

Now, if you look at the building, and then look at the following building, it confirms this is the LA Coroners Office in Downtown LA.

 

 

And now, this is the sign out the front of the coroners office, looks exactly like the GTA V counterpart sign

 

 

and here is confirmation from a Google Images shot, that makes it 100% confirmation that Franklin is firing at a Coroners office. Now, iv'e been speculating, could he be trying to recover a less than 2 weeks old dead body, where Fingerprints could still work on scanners? This could be possible..

Exactly. The map is obivously bigger than that. No disrespect, but that looks like the work of a 10 year old.

Um ok well I explained exactly what I did a few pages back but I will reiterate. I got 1:1 scale models of both the empire state building and the US Bank Tower. Then I propgated them in a 3 dimensional manner to the two screens you see. This way the models are representing the in game buildings in 3d and not on a flat plane that is the image. Then I matched (roughly) the perspectives of both the images and combined them. This should give a fairly accurate representation of the scale of downtown(from this image alone) to LC.

 

You can see the black 3d models are propagated on the images and next to eachother to ensure that they are compared accurately. I didnt just throw one pic on top of the other.

That's because there are no 100% believable LC/LS comparison diagrams.

I posted a clear and concise depiction of a reasonable comparison of LS's size to the size of LC. What do you mean "what has gotten into me"

 

Yes, in the los santos size topic I was pressing my opinion and reasoning because I was being attacked as a complainer and such. So I felt the need to verify my stance and the evidence behind my OPINION

 

But I havent said anything about the size of LS in this thread. I havent brought up whether of not I think its small or big. I just provided my scale and how I obtained it.

 

I think people are getting the wrong perception of me, and I think it has to do with a few bad apples having some similar opinions as myself.

Neither images are stretched. While maintaining a level orientation with the actual building models, I oriented the pictures so that the buildings are within the images as a 3d depiction. Hence the empire state building being mostly beneath the picture. After I got the pictures oriented 3 dimensionally to the models I then aligned the orientation of the buildings themselves, which would roughly give the same FOV for the pictures. Like I said, I didnt put to flat pictures next to eachother and compare. Thats why the LS picture seems so skewed, because its original FOV was so different than that of the LC one

You're making yourself look even more stupid when you said "More to come". You are obviously plagiarising someone else's work and using them without crediting them. Please f*ck off and analyse it yourself instead of hopelessly stealing it off other places.

I use auto cad, I was going to attempt to do a mach up of LS for my final in one of my engineering courses.

 

Like I said, I would like to see how it was put together. I can defintely see how mine would be inaccurate. But I cant see how that one was put together. It would take alot of assumptions wouldnt it??

 

Ill look further back, props to whoever put the work into it though, I can tell it took some time

In that image, the Bank Tower is taller than the Chrysler Building (it's shorter) and he has the base at sea level. The base should be elevated. Correcting that will shrink the entire map.

Wow, wasn't expecting my map to be put on gaming news sites.

 

 

Some small updates to my map. I forgot to put warnings on the map to say that it's not

the entire map, and some UNKNOWN AREA text around the edge of the map. Hopefully this

should stop some people thinking this is the entire map. I've also updated where I think

the possible location of Grapeseed is on the sightline map.

Yea there is no way that is correct. the Bank tower appears like it would be bigger than the empire state building, and it is in fact about 30% smaller.

What are you talking about? look at the streets there the same size, and Rockstar can make the us bank tower bigger then the empire state building if they want to, it's not real life it is Los Santos!!

Streets arent the determining factor for scale. I think it would be an accurate assumtion that the empire state building is to scale, and so is the us bank tower, so therefore they would be the correct reference
