Well it not these canals, look how far from the highway and bigger buildings they are.

I mean that map was EXACTLY correct for all intents and purposes. Not every street obviously, but the shape. Wow it was perfect and I was shocked.

They only got the map shape correct because there was a rough outline in a trailer on one of the police boats if I'm correct? Then looking at screenshots/trailers made it pretty easy to refine the shape and where things would be. I wasn't really around on the internet when GTA IV was coming out so didn't follow it, I only knew the date it was coming out then bought it so if I'm wrong then I'm wrong

 

Maybe they'll give us a tease like that in the next trailer?

So i just watched the latest Top gear ( uk, not the crappy US one) and i must say, if rockstar can even fit 50% of what i saw i would be pleased.

That wasn't mapped just using the trailers and screenshots. Either the image was changed or it was created after the map was revealed. Was the map on the official website at that time?

They also had R* importing heaps more info on IV's site, including LC History quiz, character videos and more which reveiled some interesting things in relation to the map.

 

Rockstar seems to have been much better back then, now they are just acting big , cus they "succeeded in bussiness" - shame

 

 

And boy, beta(also earlier builds of the game) appear to have looked miles better from final version... i'm afraid V will be worse than in the trailer too because of this

Dunno bout you , but to me looks much better than final, and even without photoshopping, it's better cus you can't get such good trees simply put up like that in an image editing program.

That image doesn't even show Alderney.

 

I'm convinced that the image was changed. It's hosted on photobucket. He just uploaded a different image and used the same file name. There's no way anyone could have mapped IV that accurately.

 

 

There is no possible way that was mapped before the real map was revealed.

They use a leaked subway map poster apparently. They also had the teaser outline of the map on the official website before that. You can see how it was being mapped around page 72.
