Unpassable Mountain

Do you think we can traverse this mountain fully?

-or-

Will it, to a certain extent, be unpassable, or have some invisible wall like in RDR?

I'm thinking similar to the mountain in RDR where you fight Dutch and save Jack from the bear. There's a part you can go up, but there's no way to pass and there's nothing, so to speak, on the other side.

but add in the fact of airplanes/helicopters. would there be an invisible wall?

Remember guys this is GTA

you should be able to get over it, inside it, etc.

This is gta they won't add an invisible wall, you can access everything

They've said the map will be the biggest R* developers ever made. So I'm almost 100% sure that you'll be able to see what's behind that mountain. Besides, it's GTA you know. No such things as "You can't pass this road, please go back".

Probably, much as there was in the ocean in Vice and as there was a "ceiling" where you could only reach a certain altitude in a chopper or plane.

An invisible wall would be really annoying, not something that would go down well with players

No, you can't pass that mountain range, but you can get right up almost to the tippy top of it. Like in RDR, the world of GTA V is landlocked, at least on two sides.

I certainly hope the players are allowed to explore the mountain and wilderness completely. It would be cruel just to show it to us and then not let players go there and ride a dirtbike off the top of it.

Yes, I think we're going to be able to traverse the mountain (all the way to the summit, including all sides). As everyone has brought up in the countless other threads that were made about this mountain, there are now planes in the game. Yes, there could be invisible walls/"turn around" warning boundaries/instant death, but that doesn't seem very GTAish.

My guess would be that it's going to be completely scalable, but there is going to be nothing on the other side, just endless water (just like Mt. Chilliad in San Andreas).

i did a topic like this 2-3 days ago and it was 50 50 .. some people thought we could some that we couldnt...

i hope that mountains are not the new sea (you know preventing you to leave the map)

but then again we saw a hydra so i think we will be able to climb them

Funny, you want to make a realistic videogame, when you're driving a plane you find an invisible wall on your way,and when you reach the wall, the plane will explode, it happens every day

It does look massive, imagine the fun of going full speed down that mountain. I really hope we can get over it otherwise it will be a restricted GTA and I can't see R* restricting it after all the previous ones were limitless except for oceans.

They said it'll be the biggest game they've made, not map. Most companies say this about their product to help sell it.

@ GRINCH ASS BITCH: I agree. I think it'll just be an endless amount of nothingness. As long as I can go from the very top and all the way back down again on a bike or in car, I'll be very happy with that. I spent hours on Mt. Chiliad so I'm hoping this will be the same.

Vice City had the "invisible wall" in the ocean.

Haha, I like how people answer questions without having ANY knowledge of it whatsoever. You could try to base your answer off of random nonsense or misleading logic but to give a straight up answer is just pointless.

EDIT - OK thank you for editing you answer, I wasn't picking on you personally, it just seems as if the board is flooded with nonsense.

I reckon you can fly over the mountain. It looks great on one side and over the other side is water. It's a steep mountain with mainly growth on the side you see and it's gonna be much steeper on the other side with water.

it does look MASSIVE! If planes can fly high enough, higher than mountains, maybe we can crash land in on top?

I really don't like invisible walls. In GTA III and VC there was an invisible wall, but in SA there was and endless see. I was hoping they'd make an endless desert in RDR, or make the desert large enough that if you venture out to far you'd start having mirages or go hungry and die.

To add, I think Rockstar wouldn't show us a mountain with an invisible wall. I'm hoping they are showing off how big and great this game is, not the restrictions it has.

There's no reason to believe the mountains will be the limits.

I'm pretty sure the ocean will be the limit, as it was for every other GTA.

The only reason mountains were a limit in RDR was because there were no planes or helicopters.

EDIT: Plus, invisible walls? Really? That's ridiculous, of course it won't be in the game.

I'm sure you'll be able to climb it, though it could be difficult. Maybe there'll be an achievement for reaching the top? So, yeah, you'll get to the top. What will be on the other side? The Ocean. Miles and miles of beautiful ocean.
