It's just not Rockstar to include boundaries...

 

So when it came to be in the trailer there was a huge fxcking mountain that clearly appeared to be 2D and just a backdrop.

 

We were all curious right?

 

Well, I just got the idea.

 

What if it's like a tinted window?

 

What if the scene where they climb the mountain and look down, there is Las Vanturas, or San Fiero, or Angel Pines.

 

What if that giant mountain is just a curtain for the trailer and really, that scene would reveal a large portion of the map?

 

Anyone else think Rockstar would do this to us? If not, what's your explanation for that huge piece of 2D rock.

Your post prompted me to go back and rewatch the trailer. That mountain does not look two dimensional, I'm not sure where you got that from.

the shot pans up slightly, and everything else moves accordingly, being part of the draw distance, as you pan up... well, you get how it works.

 

The furthest back part of the mountain, where there stops being trees, appears to be a still image.

What? You can clearly see the clouds moving around behind the top of the mountain. On top of that, the upper portion of the mountain seems to be blurry, signaling that it's near the limit of the draw distance.

Hmm... Okay, I admit I could be wrong...

 

I just feel it's out of place for GTA and they're possibly hiding something.
