GTA V Police Cars & Emergency Vehicles

Nope, the Sheriff's SUV has a new siren and I haven't heard it from the trailer.

 

Whatever new tone the Sheriff's SUV uses, I love it because it's what my local department uses.

 

Do you know the name of the siren IRL? Is it a Whelen or Federal Signal or a different brand?

 

I don't know the name of it unfortunately. I just heard it on a stream and was very surprised as I immediately recognized it as it's the exact same tone as I hear nearly everyday with my local department.

Also for those wanting to get involved with getting Rockstar's attention for police vehicles and RP gameplay, I'm going to start working on a big "project" in doing this.

 

Here are some of the things we can do:

• Another topic just like this very one that managed to change Rockstar's mind back in 2011 on police cars.
• A base email like the one in this topic that people can send to Rockstar's feedback emails. Rockstar has already stated that they will be checking there feedback email for recommendations so I can type up a email and people can simply copy, paste and send that way Rockstar will get many emails regarding this.
• Make a YouTube video that discusses this issue and have people share the video.
• Constantly posting on Rockstar's website about this matter.

 

In conclusion, we just need to get Rockstar's attention in as many ways as possible and in a big ways. When we did this in 2011, it worked and now we might just be able to do it again in 2014-2015.

Anyone have the appropriate email? We also need to ensure that such a request maintains reason. For instance, the storing of police vehicles (firetruck might not fit appropriately), uniform purchases for all emergency services, and maybe a DLC aimed at emergency response rp. You might even hint at it being a purchasable DLC, because all companies want to make a profit and this might make them consider the alterations and added rp.

Even though I think the police car skins are horrid, the main thing we are pushing for here is to store police vehicles, more variety in responding vehicles and to get police uniforms as those are things that would be easy for Rockstar to put out.

 

As for what you mentioned about the old cars being placeholders, this thread came out in 2011 asking Rockstar for just improved cars and two years later, Rockstar introduced us to new police vehicles coming to GTA V with improved LED lighting. I think that this thread and the community outreach is to thank for that.

Wow. That glitch has not been fixed. Awesome.

Unfortunately it looks like in the new versions Blaine County still has not got its own sheriff vehicle fleet.

What Phill said, that is a glitch from old-gen that makes both lightbars meld together.

 

Looking at that screenshot though, it appears that the old orange/white LEDs have not been fixed... Thoughts?

Alright, impressions of Emergency vehicles on Xbox One:

• The new effects of the emergency lights are literally breathtaking. Driving the FIB SUV at night time is truly remarkable.
• The Police Computer has been completely removed from interiors.
• Still can't put emergency vehicles in your garage
• Ambulance Interior is copy + paste from a civilian van. No radio, light controls, etc.
• Fire truck has a pretty cool interior.
• When activating code 3, your player just punches the horn.
• FIB SUV has the same interior as the civilian Granger
• New Firetruck tones are a nice improvement
• New Ambulance tones are also a really nice improvement. (Same as police siren from Vice City)
• FIB SUV now has a really generic tone that I'm a bit disappointed in.

 

Thats all after playing for a hour. I'll post some videos, screenshots and in game pictures soon. Also plan on giving the LSPD Buffalo, FIB Buffalo and Unmarked Cruiser a spin.
