Even though Rockstar is giving the middle finger to role-players, the LED's sure look nice.

 

 

really? What looks so great about that? Unless the lights are just set to glow and not flash right there

 

Load up GTA V on your 360/PS3 right now and look at the emergency lights. Blues are almost like a teal-ish color and reds are pretty much orange or amber even.

 

I was watching a stream earlier, and the lighting has been vastly improved. It looks like they flash faster, too.

 

Trust me when I say, that photos do not do the new lighting system justice.

 

 

 

 

I guess you're right. The light bars themselves never bothered me as long as the lighting effects showed up the right way on the environment. Plus, the rotary lights looked great.

 

 

Any of you guys read about some of the cops n crooks DLC leaks? It sounds too in depth to be BS. Guys say the developer error logs talked about "personal cop car" and "cops n crooks free mode", "arresting and transporting crooks"

 

Also makes sense that if they were going to totally overhaul and release a police-specific DLC, then they would hold off on messing with the police code and update that with one shot.

 

I don't want to say it makes the game sound like a police sim, but it sounds like the most in depth police experience on consoles ever.

 

I always loved OpFor type games, playing from different perspectives is great.

Although that looks nice, most taxi cabs have more equipment in them than that... No computer, no radar, no siren/light controls, no spotlight handle? Just a copy/paste radio from the LS taxi.

 

Expected a little more effort from Rockstar, considering they went right into the detail on interiors - heating controls, FM radios and whatnot.

 

A standard Ford Taurus Interceptor dash is far from the GTA version:

 

 

Even the Peacemaker from Saints Row: The Third - arguably the worst designed police vehicle ever - had a more detailed interior in terms of police equipment.

I was hoping for more from these interiors. And the fact that the police stations are not enerale even though there are now interiors is just wierd.

But that could be a hint to a single player law enforcemeny DLC. Dunno really.

 

Don't worry anyways, 1 more month and a half and the PC version will solve everything. Roleplayers will have their own game.

I still express my doubts. I was looking at the old interceptor interior, and it had quite a few similarities to this new cruiser one, with the exception of the computer. I'm thinking there's two possibilities: they saw it's LCPD screen and decided to take it out, or they remodeled it completely to keep in.

As to where on the Crown Vic, the hood isn't "popped up" as the Taurus is.

It didn't in the unpatched version atleast. The hood on the Vic looks higher than the Taurus though.

Mmmhmm... Still a tiny bit of hope for Day 1 patch.. but yeah..

The final hope is Story mode DLC. If its similar to story mode dlc for GTA IV, It could be quite substantial. So theres hope for that.. Anything is possible in this fast paced market.

 

I mean seriously, If Rockstar were to just introduce it as DLC, Just Vigilante DLC, I'd pay $20-40 for that!
