also the LEFT button switches between the headlights. One is low beam, second is high beam WITH the mirror lights, and third is off.. pretty cool feature imo.

If you drive by the fire station in Davis at night, a fire engine usually pulls out Code 3. They don't go anywhere (I know cause I followed one for 10 minutes and it just drove aimlessly around the city) but it was still cool.

It is disappointing to see the LSPD chase you only in Interceptors. I was hoping it would be like IV where both the Crusier and the Patrol chased you. This is sometihng I also don't get why R* changed because they showed screenshots/video of the LSPD Vapid Cruiser chasing the player. But as it stands now, only the LSPD Interceptor chases you. Has anyone seen a LSPD Cruiser chase them?

The more I play the more it seems that R* really let down us guys who like to roll play cops. Almost every feature we wanted is NOT in there. It even seems they took some of the stuff we liked from IV (like different chase cars) out of the game. After the success of LCPDFR I really thought R* would run with this. I am shocked.

I think they did a pretty good job with the police cars, although the LED lightbar could be brighter and flash faster. I don't like how there is only interceptors 95% of the time in police chases, we have a variety of vehicles with different variations so why not put them to use. I also wish there were more police cars patroling in normal traffic. I barely see any that arent in a pursuit.

 

I also wish we could have the lights flash without the siren, come on R* that's a simple fix!

 

The ambulance lights are disappointing, the rear LED lightbar lights are barely even noticeable when they are on.

 

Any word yet on the unmarked undercover CVP?

I've saved numerous police cars in various garages and have no problem saving them btw.

The first thing I did was get a CVPI and put it in Franklin's garage. It's still there. I even turned the game off for a couple of hours and back on and it was still there.

the crown vics sheriff cruisers are only in blaine county, not sure about the lspd crown vics though..

I don't know about you but the LSPD crown vics are located at the PDs. The LSPD Buffalo is a hard one to find though my friend found one earlier today.

So was I. I think the police pursuits occur the same way the normal units spawn on patrol - which is why you hardly ever see a CVPI in a pursuit, because you hardly see them on patrol either.

 

I've yet to find a Buffalo but if they patrol in small numbers, I'd say you might just get one in a pursuit too. If you're lucky.

Anyways, one thing I noticed. In the very first trailer, the police car had the old fashioned rotater style emergency lights. BUT if you look carefully, it has 3 red, 3 blue and 1 white light in the middle. My question is, what happened to the white middle light?

 

The CVPIs don't have them now... Mystery...

At the very least Rockstar could have made the LEDs brighter and allow lights without sirens. That would require almost no work but yet Rockstar is totally inept when it comes to these things.

They have two white rotators in the center of the bar, but they don't work.

 

Just saw the end of another pursuit, one officer jumped in the passenger seat of his cruiser and pulled out a flashlight. He turned it on and surveyed the scene from his cruiser, shining it at the bodies. Nice touch, Rockstar!

It must just be me being lucky, but I have come across a lot of CVPI's on patrol while playing... Probably in equal amounts as the interceptor atm!

For some reason today I have been getting chased by the LSPD CVPI more often than yesterday. Still had the Interceptors but during chases a few CVPIs have joined in, some during missions and other times in free-roam

 

Would say that the Interceptors are the car of choice by LSPD for pursuits, while the CVPI's join in mid pursuit.
