No I was just stating that would be a simple way to do it and I don't know why they didnt implement it that way. That would be a simple patch if they did decide to do that.

Does anyone know how to increase the sound of the dispatcher? I've tried playing around with all the sound settings but I can't seem to figure out which one affects the dispatcher's volume. I have it set on headphones.

Maybe we can email Rockstar (I did send a quick message to them via twitter) to have one button on the directional pad that allows to switch the siren off but leaves the flashing lights on. Should be easy to include in a small update.

 

Did try all buttons but been unable to just leave the flashing lights on. I have also managed to switch on the spotlight but can't remember which button.

1. they need to have an option where you can just turn on the lights without the siren going

2. they need to make those upper wind shield lights on the police sheriff suv work

3. police vigilante missions should be reintroduced again

 

hopefully they will add all, if not all then some of these features.

After playing for an hour I have found two things that haven't been discussed

Note: These are on the interceptor as this is the only emergency vehicle I have played with.

 

If you go to mode three with the high beams the spotlight will turn on.

Double click the left stick for a "Special Sound" don't really know what to call it.

You searious? We can keep a regular car in our garage but not keep a police car? Thats gonna really piss me off as I planned on collecting all the different variations. On top of that from what I've heard you don't see many police cars just driving around in traffic.

I have four CVPIs sitting in there at the present moment.

 

Just witnessed a pursuit - taxi driver was fleeing, stopped, got out, two officers gunned him down and then ran off up the street. Ambulance turned up. Fire truck turned up to a Patriot that exploded around the corner. I watched this with interest, and to my amazement two firefighters jumped off the tailboard in BA and ran towards the burning wreck, which they quickly extinguished with fire extinguishers! I was very impressed.

 

Then to top it all off, I turn back around to see a civilian had stolen the police interceptor. A large black women in a pink top just jumped in and drove off in it, sirens going and all.

 

I love this game.

Yes, the spotlight turns on - but only on the Taurus-based Interceptor. The CVPIs have two spotlights but they are facing down.

 

On another note, I have seen a few CVPIs out on patrol too. I like it how there aren't police cruisers every second block. Gives a sense of realism.

Yessir, they are just out there in smaller numbers - which is much more true to real life LA. Unfortunately, the police can't be everywhere at once

I've seen two so far in my gameplay. I think it's just conclusions being come to way too early in the game. There are definitely CVPIs on patrol. I have yet to see one in a pursuit yet though (except the sheriff CVPI of course).

First off I wanna say that i simply cannot believe some people dislike this game. IVe been playing for 8 hours straight and I am absolutely blown away by how much fun I am having. I tend to role play and have been looking for fire stations. I have found 3 in the city so far. One in Rockford hills, one in strawberry down south and one in east los santos. ( strawberry and east are enter able). Anyone found any others in the city? I'd imagine there is one by the beach but I haven't found it yet!

Has anyone seen a police buffalo yet? Or is it only going to be in multiplayer?

I mentioned a page ago that the buffaloes are in single player, they just parol in a very small number. For every 20 interceptors there's a buffalo or CVPI patrolling.

Is it just me or does the LSPD Buffalo and LSPD Crown Vic hardly ever spawn compared to the Interceptor?

 

Edit: didn't see the post above this one. Oh well, this game has a problem with varied vehicle spawning in general doesn't it?

also the RIGHT button switches between the headlights. One is low beam, second is high beam WITH the mirror lights, and third is off.. pretty cool feature imo.

Don't get me wrong, this game is an absolute masterpiece.......butttt:

 

I STILL can't believe traffic response. NOBODY in real life, after pulling voer if a cop car was behind you with lights and siren, would then just drive away after a couple of seconds. I really thought they would fix that...
