GTA V Police Cars & Emergency Vehicles

Anyway, still hoping we see Tahoes. Most HP departments are utilizing these units heavily since the departure of the CVPI. They are actually pursuit rated and are great for PIT manuevers. And they are not governed to 98 mph like civilian Tahoes; I can testify that they will hit 136 on a certified speedometer. They are also lowered so they handle pretty damn well; better than the Crown Vic in my opinion. Rockstar would be remiss if they leave this vehicle out of the LE stable in the game. I realize it's pretty late in the game so if they weren't there before I doubt we'll see them.  Still, I'm very happy with the cars and emergency lights that they have updated for the game.

Absolutely. Unmarked, blacked out Tahoes just look tough. That picture kind of makes me chuckle; looks like the Under Sheriff driving the Sheriff around in a Colorado Sheriff's Department. Apparently that mustache is a pre-requisite to promote to command staff in that department.

Great news, from earlier in this thread, and in the gameplay trailer at 3:22, when the sports car is speeding at on-coming traffic, pause at the first police vehicle, and you will see and unmarked/slicktop suv of some sort. Hanging onto the SUV is some sort of noose/ fib agent. I cant tell if its a tahoe.

I also noticed that. I just hope that this is FIB and not SWAT since i am hoping that SWAT has an actual LSPD SWAT truck rather than a SUV.

I also noticed that. I just hope that this is FIB and not SWAT since i am hoping that SWAT has an actual LSPD SWAT truck rather than a SUV.

To be honest, I think noose should have the suv for earlier wanted levels, and the truck for later on levels. In the cvg interview, apparently rockstar said that the fib will be riding in "town cars". So basiclly a "presidante" from gta iv, or some sort of crown vic, which I'm fine with. But if they made the "Rancher"(tahoe) rom gta 3 and chinatown wars in use for the FIB,R*would really make my day.

Okay, I have figured it out. Here are some pictures of my Tahoes over the years. I've also had some other trucks; an 07 F150, three different F250 and F350 Crew cabs but none match the Tahoe. As stated by LAPD 85 in the Counties and Jurisdictions thread:

 

 

You can clearly see there is no lightbar and that the lights come from dash lights mounted on the visor area of the SUV.

 

We also saw either a marked or unmarked slicktop in this screen:

That SUV does look great. Clearly based on the Tahoe/Suburban fron end. Pretty hard to tell if it is the longer Suburban type or not. I know there was another screen in the Franklin trailer that showed them in a black Suburban style SUV. I'm pretty confident they will have the Tahoe body style since it matches up with the Cavalcade in IV.

I really like your ideas, but I kinda think it would get annoying after a while of getting pulled over for speeding, although, I do like the idea.

 

I like the roleplaying idea, and I don't know what console you have but if its a 360, I found LCPDFR mod for it! Look up LCPDFR X. Ill post a link below!

 

Police wise, I want to see more law enforcement vehicles, and something like lcpdfr or at least more vehicles and a uniform (which makes you not get wanted)! Maybe a way to control lights and sirens separate!

i just hope you can turn on only the lights or light siren independantly of each other. i used to park on the shoulder sometimes on 4 in the cruiser doing odds and ends and with the lights on no one would hit your car but you had to hear the siren the whole time unless you got out.

The Lenco Bearcat. Saints Row The Third had their SWAT truck roughly based on the Bearcat. Much better looking than the Enforcer in my opinion.

LAPD has about 4 or 5 LENCO Bearcats. One has a ladder system and the other ones are Rescue Units with medical gear. It would be Very cool to have the LENCO in the the game.

LAPD have two Lenco Bearcats, one Medcat (Bearcat which is essentially an ambulance), and one Lenco BEAR (Much bigger)
