GTA V Police Cars & Emergency Vehicles

This isn't a police simulator ._.

Dude, We've been over this a bunch of times. The police play a very important role in the Grand Theft Auto series. The police are supposed to be intimidating, when we commit a crime, they have to chase us so we want them to look good doing it. And when we go into multiplayer, we want to roleplay as a cop with the right equipment. You, my good sir, may not care like we do, but Rockstar has listened to us and they came. So as kindly as I can put it, F*@! OFF

Thank you for tellin em off as good as i would of . You really want GTA5 with the old crown vics and sh*tty strobe lights or what we asked for and Rock * kindly listened and gave? ya dick. . Its not a police game i get that... but after i beat GTA5, it would be nice to have a endless amount of missions in a free roam kinda feel for the police missions and gain money that way... this game could be for the good and the bad in its own ways because of how big it is...why just let everybody be bad and do the same old GTA bs playing the bad guy. sh*t gets boring.

I'm more than satisfied with the modifications Rockstar have made to police vehicles across the board. They look fantastic at the moment and they will look even better come release day!

 

Only thing I'm interested in now is the ability to wear these uniforms in single player and/or multiplayer:

 

 

 

Hopefully this will be confirmed in the next lot of information on multiplayer this month. One can hope...

Just a small thing-would you like to be able to listen music/radio in cruisers while driving? You can't in previous GTA's as it is just police radio chatter.

RockstarGames told us they want to make Gta V the most biggest and ambitious game ever. That means they must improve every aspect of the game that includes Police, wanted stars, police vehicles and more. Police is very important part of the game i say it's at least 30% of the game. What is Gta without wanted stars? Nothing. We are in 2013 and cars change just like any regular vehicle in Gta V. You want them to keep the same old cars? Or you want them to add new cars and upgrade older vehicles?

You have to admit it is a bit ridiculous somebody would nitpick to that extent. If something that small bothers you that much then you probably should question exactly what you are doing with your life at the moment.

Pretty sure I'm the one who pointed out the lights being on the wrong side... It's not a big deal? why would you make some of them correct and others not? it was a mistake on Rock *'s part and was hopefully fixed. There was more then a "a select few" who just think its a half ass lazy job on Rock *'s part... they fixed the light bars but then put the colors on the wrong side... That's just f*cking stupid. Has nothing to do with my "life" My life is going just fine... I'm about to jump in my BMW with ah hot ass chick to go get a pack of ciggs:D cheers bitch.

Not exactly, Coast Guard is a Federal Law Enforcement Agency and a branch of the Military. National Guard can enforce laws when that unit, entire state, or whole country is activated. When not activated Federally, State Govenors can activate them entirely or just individual units. They helped during Katrina to not only provide relief, but keep order and prevent looting. LA Riots 1990's National Guard was called in to help restore order. They are activated during natural disasters.

We could possibly have lifeguard trucks on the beach. In trailer one we can see the Venice Beach Police Station so they could have some special ATV's and trucks to use on the beach.We already have a speedophile with lifeguard livery, why not an ATV? We need to see some stuff on the fire department also. There is no way R* would leave them out.

 

^^^If there is a military base near the Zancudo River, It would be very possible to have Coast Guard. Remember the Raindance from San Andreas. It was a Fire Department/Coast Guard helicopter.

I find it weird they still haven't shown off ambulances and fire trucks. The only shot we saw was the ambulance in the first trailer as it was a copy and past from IV. I would like to think they upgraded these as well.

Imagine a ALS Ambulance with all the strobes flashing. I was playing four this morning looking at the ambulances and fire trucks thinking about the new ELS. Also, the crown vics had those static traffic advisers. Would've been neat to see those come on with the lightbar.

It irked me to no end how the ambulances in IV had lights all around it but only the front lights worked. Hopefully they paid more attention.

So guys, I've been doing research. I've picked up the book, "Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America's Police Forces", and it's been giving me a strange hope for GTA V. In the book, they closely study the LAPD, starting with the formation of SWAT in 1965. I have learned the following:

 

 

1. Darryl Gates acquired APC in 1984 from the US Army, and had them converted into Police vehicles by merely painting them blue, adding the city crest, and Painting the title "Rescue Vehicle" on the sides.

 

2. THEY REQUESTED A GODDAMNED SUBMARINE. LIKE, AN ACTUAL SUBMARINE FROM THE US NAVY.

 

3. They botched Drug raids like crazy, which could be represented with Trevor's or Franklin's stories.

 

I really think that giving the LSPD actual M113's for the SWAT teams would be awesome, as would adding a submarine in the harbor, or even surrounding water as a static or even dynamic object.
