american police cars like crown vics are so boring lol, i prefer the BMW,s, Subaru's, Evo 8's, Golf, Audi undercover police cars you get in England..........

the only thing cool about those cars is the car, atleast american cop cars have badass lights unlike your country which isnt intimidating at all

I think being chased at high speed is a lot more intimidating.

Yeah true, the colors aren't doing them any favours in intimidation, but the point I was trying to make is: these cars are highly tuned and are great at catching people, I've seen the Evo & Subaru drive past me in person chasing and they are quick for what they are which I feel makes them 'intimidating' to some degree .

On another note, just searching through some YouTube videos, I found this mod someone has made for GTA IV for 2 of the crappier Interceptor cars from my County

 

 

And for those who were interested in lights, here are the police lights from our old Evo & the new one (lame)

(not impressive at all by US standards though, you guys have sweet lights on Emergency vehicles!)

I don't think they will, as they are very high end modern Interceptors

On a lighter note, I hope the gameplay trailer tomorrow sheds some light on the police cars some more, specifically sheriff units and the Vapid Interceptor generic POLICE texture. Maybe we will get to see the FBI cars? Only a few more hours to go until we find out.

Well, with the new gameplay video release, I think we got our first "hear" of the sirens... Assuming they recorded the audio during the gameplay sessions and didn't dub it over.

 

If those are the sirens, I'm a bit underwhelmed. They sound kind of generic. I don't want some 40 tone siren like some of the people here do, but something that doesn't sound like it comes from every other video game would have been nice. But, maybe that means it is just a post production dub.

 

I did hear a couple different sirens though so at least there is variety like there was in GTA IV.

 

Still no sight of an ambulance or firetruck.

Personally, I wouldn't pay attention to the sirens in any video Rockstar releases. The only way to determine what the sirens will sound like is to actually buy and play the game. Sirens are always overdubbed in videos.

 

Like I said, that's just my opinion and don't think the sirens in the video are the final product.

 

On another note, seeing the CVPIs driving around at different angles has made me quite happy, they look really good! A massive improvement from GTA IV.

One thing I noticed is that some Police cars have different light bars if you look at the scene where trevor is being chased by the county.

In a trailer I agree that they always dub it over.

 

But since it's "gameplay" video they might have included the audio.

 

With that scene in the desert, the police AI didn't look that much improved from previous GTA games, but we'll see! It looks like they liked to clump up and play follow the leader.

The cop car that is blown up and the ones near it are the old style without the led lightbar but later we see the newer police car with leds that still has the generic police decal on it so im guessing there will be several variations of police cars that will spawn.

 

And what is the police suv with the green decal?

you can also see the right front winbg missing in the police car in the middle. So I guess they improved the vehicle damage regarding parts that fall off. Just saying.
