Anybody else kinda disappointed they used the old buffalo body style as a city police unit and not the new body style? Around here it's mainly sheriff's and state troopers that have them so that would be pretty sweet if we saw a new body style buffalo sheriff or something. 

My county is switching over to the Ford Police Interceptors, the State Highway Patrol is using the newer Dodge Chargers and the Chevrolet SUV's.

I would really like to join your clan, since i would be getting the PS3 GTAV bundle when it's released. I'll sign up to your website now, and just look for me on there

Looking back I just realized one of the E3 screens show a Crown Vic as a sheriff (The one at the gas station) so maybe not completely gone but just gone from the LSPD

Crown Vics are still in LSPD but they have been modernized and have new LED's on them rather than the older models seen in trailers 1 & 2 with the outdated lightbar.

Are the Sheriff ones updated as well? and do you have a pic of this "updated" crown vic?

The cool thing is they haven't even shown us FIB vehicles, hopefully those are going to be bad*ss. Black suburban with hideaway lights would be sweet. They are definitely going all out with this game. Hopefully mp will have something cool that caters to us police junkies.

I think this is the most updated version of the new crown vic. At least I hope so! I love how they rounded out the sides!!

I'm new to this thread and I have two questions which I'm sure have already been discussed but if someone could just brief me real quick

 

1. You guys are talking about a Police Buffalo, where is the evidence of this? like a screenshot or news update. I'm not doubting there is, just wondering what evidence y'all are going off.

 

2. Are the new Taurus style interceptors completely replacing the crown vic style cruisers?it seems that way from the 3 character trailers but I hope not, cause I would like to see both.

You can see the Buffalo as lead car in this screenshot. It's also in Franklin's trailer, I believe.

I am just curious as to why the taillights on the Crown Victoria-style interceptor are not flashing (wig-wags). It would appear by a glimpse that the taillights of the Buffalo apparatus are flashing. I cannot ignore my inclinations to keep pondering about this particular detail. For the Taurus-style interceptors, the wig-wags appear to be confirmed.

I would imagine Rockstar has done some stuff like this. The immersion of the world is a high priority to them. Probably see car chases, foot chases, etc which are in IV but V will be on another level.

 

Especially since the police play an important role in this game.

Nooo nothings been released other then the police ai is better... I agree with you though, it would be sweet 2 be in a sheriffs car and join the pursuit

the only thing cool about those cars is the car, atleast american cop cars have badass lights unlike your country which isnt intimidating at all
