So wait.. No crown vics? This aint realistic at all.

Crown Vic's are being phased out by police departments, a lot of them are switching to Dodge Chargers, Ford Taurus', Chevy Impalla's, etc. Where I live, the police have all 2011-2012 Chargers.

 

So yeah, having no Crown Vic's would be realistic.

Well they are using the 2012 Ford interceptor-type in gta 5 and LAPD is barely making

the transition from crown vic's to dodge charger ppv's so it might be 2013,2014.

Don't forget the Chevy Caprice PPV, there taking interest in it. I heard it has a Corvette engine in it.

Too bad the PPV is the worst of the three new contenders for police cars. Not many agencies like them. The LAPD is even testing out the second-gen Charger because of the issues with the PPV. Bad stuff starts to happen when another country designs a police car for another countries police force. It doesn't work out.

It is returning... check one of their new preview screenshots.. you see the back of a police cruiser, and it says "Vipid" that is the brand of the vics in GTA IV.

Ok, so we have seen most of the new cop cars, cruisers and SUVs

 

Now what about under cover police cars and FIB cars?

 

Have we seen any if these yet?

We will most likely see these for undercover or FIB

Hell yea and the rims make it look like

a civilian car.

I can't really say that I'm too big a fan of the Taurus old or new really (I guess I don't mind the SHO) but I agree, that thing looks BAD ASS.

 

That said I'm disapointed the PPV is doing so badly in most forces eyes. Mainly because I like the platform, and was hoping we may get the Holden Commodore over here under Chevy even if it was only for the Police and the feds. Since Pontiac went down hill not long after the G8 came out.

 

That said we do seem to be geting allot of new Police cars, we've seen some updated Crown Vics, some more SUV's and those new Ford Interceptor based ones as well, and I have to say I'm enjoying it, seems Rockstar has taken notes that they needed some new cop cars. I'm hoping the Buffalo get's a police car varient as well.

We might see something similar to this in the desert (although we already have Tahoes), since they do need offroad vehicles in such environments.

Well arround here (I live in a rural area) most Sheriffs on partoll arround town either use

Last Gen Dodge Rams, or Ford Explorer's outfited for it, the occasional Chevy Impalla appears arround here as well, though the Impala's usually keep to the larger towns/cities in the county (Same things appeared before we got rid of the local force and contracted to the County Sheriffs), so it would fit to have both out in the country side, which it seems they are going for with the Sheriff marked Suburban and Crown Vic knock offs seen above.

 

That said I'd love to see a Ram Based police truck, and we've seen a ram lookalike in the trailers and in screens, so it could easily be done. There's also a civilian version of the Suburban look alike as well so who knows.

 

So for the countryside a good mix should work, mostly SUVs and Trucks though at least that's how it is arround here, especially since the Sheriffs took over before that I think we had two of those Explorers and an Impala or two. Were i live(San Bernardino county big bear resorts area) the sheriff's department

uses the occasional ford cvpi but when winter rolls around you

see those big Chevy Tahoe's patroling the snow coverd roads.

It's most likely we'll be seeing the Chevy suburban-

type'saround the countryside.La still uses the 92-98 ford cvpi in some areas.

I bet they are hiding the seal from us because they probably have a really funny mock version that they're going to put in the final game. It probably has some bear sh*tting and whatever else is "mockable"(it's a word now) in the LA seal.

I dont really care about the seal either. I just hope they have a better livary on the final version than just the generic "Police" one they had in the trailer.

 

Im betting we wont see the final version till the game releases. I can see all of us sitting in our living rooms on the 17th eagerly watching the game load and then cheering when we finally see the final version.
