Perhaps it could be similar to the low-riders from San Andreas; the hard top could be added as a customization for the vehicles. Good point. But like we saw in the first trailer. On that note, there is also the blue convertible that Michael drives in the first trailer, yet later on, a hardtop version is also visible. Well there is also a Feltzer seen in one of the screenshots And i think now you can really adjust your top Because in the GI they mentioned adjusting the tops of one of the cars If I remember correctly they said something along the lines of Franklin got in the car and the top went down, almost sounded like it was automatic.
