If thats the case then it means that they didn't start on it in '08? And then we're possibly looking at a 2013 release? The more info I read about GTA V the more confused and frustrated I become...

I doubt they're making it to look like the Harrier. My guess is they're basing it off the F-35.

Graphics look like Sims 3 and Vehicles like Saints Row 2! I hope the physics are like GTA IV!

Honestly, I hope they alter the physic just a little. In IV, they made the vehicles bottom-heavy and once I noticed it, it really bugged me. I'm sure it's nice not to flip over and sh*t 'cause it could get annoying on missions and such but jesus I hope they change it so it's not bottom heavy. I saw a video on Youtube that showed a mod that altered the weight in cars and it looked pretty sick...your car could actually flip over and wouldn't always end up on its tires. It also made it so vehicles weren't f*cking tanks which looked pretty nice.

It's quite a given that they're implementing a VTOL feature given that there is what appears to be thrusters on the bottom of the aircraft.

Much like they did with the GTA IV vehicles from previous titles I presume this aircraft will be a remastered version of the Hydra and possibly have the same name.

Well most first trailers for games are in alpha stage so course there going to be bugs/glitches.

The final game will have a lot of bugs/glitches,is pretty normal in a big game with an enormous map like RDR or gta,so this bugs are not surprising.

Hey guys, I have some new ideas:

 

1.- In GTA IV - EFLC, there is a zone in Northwood, Algonquin, called Vespucci Circus. In GTA V trailer, the real life Venice Beach in Los Angeles is called Vespucci Beach (in San Andreas it was called Verona Beach). Coincidence? Maybe, but it would be a good idea to dig that area and see if we find something.

 

2.- In The Ballad Of Gay Tony, the new cars introduced have a lighter and more agile feeling handling, which could be a trend that extends to GTA V since people often complains about GTA IV cars feeling too heavy and bulky. In GTA V trailer, we can see one of the cars of TBOGT, the civilian Buffalo.

 

3.- I don't really think that GTA V is a new era. I think they called it GTA V because if they had called it GTA Los Santos (the logic name), then the location would have been revealed since the very first day and it wouldn't have been a surprise to reveal in the trailer, which would have taken away part of the emotion of the week waiting for it.

Partially, perhaps. But R* also mentioned that the whole 'eras/universes' thing has more to do with the hardware (specifically, the 2D, 3D, and HD [current] "universes"), and has nothing to do with the Roman numerals. It just happened to work out that way for a little while (GTAs III and IV leading to new canons different from the previous). Since there's little that suggests that GTA V is on the next generation of consoles, I imagine it's almost a given that it's the same era/universe/canon/whatever as GTA IV, since the name doesn't have much to do with how that works, apparently.

With regards to the May 24th release date, does anyone actually think they're going to release the game 9 days after they release Max Payne 3? I mean, I wish it was coming out in May, but I doubt it. I bet if anything, it would be a new trailer on May 24th.

They'll probably give Max some headway before releasing a new trailer of all things. If anything, there might be some info, but not a trailer, not so soon after MP3 comes out. Doubt there's anything to any of those number-based rumors, though.

there were dog signs in IV and there wasn't any. Signs do not indicate new feature necessarily

The guy nailed the FOR SALE sign to his yard makes me think that the rumors I've read of properties going on and off the market may be true.

 

It's all my own speculation, obviously, but it reminds me of the newspapers and bounties from RDR... if you ever took the time to watch, the bounty icon will not be on the minimap until the NPC actually walks out of the train station, over to the wall, and puts the poster up. If you time it right, you can watch the guy walk out, and literally the moment he nails the bounty poster to the wall, the bounty icon pops up on the minimap.

 

Watching the guy nail the FOR SALE sign into the yard reminded me of this...
