Who's thinking that mountain can be climbed, or its just the to a more realistic fealing and we will not be able to go up there.

 

Ill be really mad if that mountain is only there for 'exhibition'

Near the end of the trailer, there's a clip of what looks like a police car burning. Usually in GTA when a car explodes it just leaves a blackened frame without doors, wheel's etc. But this car seems to retain all of it's coloring and parts. Either that was taken seconds before the car blew up, or it might mean that destroyed cars will burn realistically instead of just exploding.

This is in the country, looks like a desert to be quite honest. Not only because of the hos, but because of the backdrop. Looks very brownish, and DOESN'T fit the Los Santos backdrop at all.

Anyone want to take me up that the protagonist/guy on the balcony could actually be James Pedeaston?

 

- He hosted the radio show 'The Wild Traveler' on WCTR in San Andreas.

- He was on the computer in GTA IV at freejames.org

- His name was among those in the 'GTA V Leaked Casting Call'

- There is a jet-ski in the trailer which has a 'Pedophile' reference.

 

 

(His voice doesn't match the one in the trailer, but who's to say it's him talking.)

How exactly does the jet-ski in the trailer give a pedophile reference?

Biggest Concern for Me:

 

That Los Santos is the only location and there's no other cities to explore etc. Though its far to early to tell still, im feeling doubtful

about multiple cities, hope im wrong. A magazine preview on V is needed very soon like IV.

I think the fact that the main character is not hispanic proves that that story is rubbish. Yes, it is San Andreas but that was very highly suspected many months ago because of the LA rumours.

 

EDIT - also it has nothing to do with the analysis of the trailer.

How do you know? I think the character's voice sounds very hispanic.

I first thought Italian instead of Hispanic, but watching it again I do kinda hear it.

In the car chase scene did anyone else see the Bigfoot silhouette on the LSPD badge? A possible reference to the old "Bigfoot in GTA SA myth".

- The flag im guessing is just a small representation of the American Flag.

 

- The beaver could be a nod to the 'Liberty City Beavers' or the 'Saturday Night Beaver' film (strangely both references are from Liberty City though)

Or maybe that the Sherman Dam is making a return?

 

- The bigfoot is obviously a reference to the Bigfoot myth of San Andreas.

 

- The bird I am unsure about, looks like a parrot? Anyone remember Ken Rosenbergs pet parrot Tony from San Andreas?

I thought he sounded African-American but I bet he is mixed race African-American/Caucasian.

 

Edit: I thought it would be a GTA first but I think the Vance brothers mother was white.

I don't feel your concern since I know when GTA San Andreas came out the first trailer was of only Los Santos. Then the next one was of other places. Do you think Rockstar would give you all the goods in one trailer? I doubt, they just gave you a teaser to make you interested. The real good come when they release more and finally the release date. Then that pretty much makes the viewer SOLD.

Could this be the mc? i don't know but i swear i seen him a few times in the trailer i'm a go re watch it but i think hes also in the red car with the convertible top and getting out of the van with a gas mask on, but that older guy was seen a few times maybe it is true that there will be more then 1 mc.( nvm sure that isn't him in the red car cuz i don't see tattoos on his arm there.)

That scenery reminds me of Grove Street in The alley between ryder and cj's house.

Have a feeling that we'll probably play as that old-ish guy's son. He has a hint of disappointment when he talks about his kids. Possibly the son got into the same line of work that he wanted to leave behind?

 

That scene right after that robbery one also looks as if he's (if that's him in the car) coming to help his son out, you can almost hear the car racing as if it's trying to get somewhere (or running away).

Yes, I think it definatley hints at Las Venturas. Did anyone notice that the stores name is "Ace" followed by the symbols that are found on playing cards?

Probably taking after Red Dead Redemption. I loved it when I playing Undead Nightmare and the sun would be glaring down on you and when you walk around trees that sun glares through the trees and has that creepy eerie feel to it.

Why are people still questioning if this game is set in San Andreas I knew the minute when I saw that dude playing Golf seeing that building in the background that it was 100% in San Andreas.

Game set some time between 1988 and 1991?

 

Potential evidence is;

 

From the first picture, we can see the US Bank Building and what appears to be the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in front of it, as seen in Picture 2.

 

By going into Google Earth and orientating the map with the apparent perspective in Picture 1, it appears that the Gas Company Tower is the Tower currently under construction.

 

If it is in fact The Gas Company Tower and not a Rockstar created Tower, then according to Wikipedia it was constructed 1988-1991 and thus could mean the game is set around this time.

Alright here's my 2 cents. We obviously know Los Santos is included. And while it looks massive, the city itself isn't too huge. Now some of the pictures that make me think it's all of San Andreas is that the massive mountain is surrounded by redwoods, which goes hand-in-hand with northern California. This could possibly north or south of San Fierro. You also have what appears to be wine country in the shot with the plane dumping a liquid on those workers. That could be Napa Valley which is just north of San Francisco (San Fierro). Also the POV shot when the car is driving on the freeway and it has the signs of Little Seoul and Los Puerta, those look like Vegas casinos. Maybe it's just me, but those buildings don't really fit in with L.A. I don't know, that's just what I see.

Pardon me for not remembering who it was, but someone on here a few hours ago proposed that because they have planes, there must be more than one airport? Very good theory if you ask me, and after reading an initial GTA IV magazine detail, there was this written;

 

"There are no planes in GTA IV because there is only one city, and Rockstar want the game to seem realistic. That means there will be no rollerblades, no unicycles, probably no jetpacks and indeed no planes. Rockstar are giving choice and variety which feels right for the character. However there will be motorbikes"

It's not so much SAPD but LSPD that is like that.

And of course, the LSPD is based on none other than the Los Angeles Police Department as on all their police vehicles they have the Los Angeles City Seal and the famous "to protect and serve" motto. Rockstar just put a spin on it(like they do for evey GTA game)

So the city seal and the beaver and bigfoot etc. represents the city of Los Santos as it is the city seal of Los Santos based on the actual facts of Los Angeles

Right then, here's my two cents on all we've seen today:

 

I believe we will see the full SA map with all three cities, purely because I don't think it's like Rockstar to skimp on their games and if we've seen the huge map SA had before, I don't think they're gonna downsize it and disappoint people (I'd be fine with the city in the trailer but I'm guessing a lot of people would complain). And as mentioned previously, people worrying about the other cities not appearing in this trailer need only look to the original 1st SA trailer, where only Los Santos was shown. The 2nd trailer revealed the casinos of Las Venturas etc.

 

Mount Chiliad looks SPECTACULAR. Seriously amazing, as do many of the views from the trailer. The idea of SA with GTAIV graphics is blowing my mind.

 

I personally am skeptical of the release date being on the kerb, but the song they've chosen and the numbers which appear on the kerb below a FOR SALE sign is something to look at. I'm aware the for sale sign and the selling of houses is gonna be included in the game, but I still believe it could be a cryptic clue. I don't think we'll be waiting TOO long for the game as I think they'll want it out for as long as possible before the next gen consoles come out.

 

I've got no idea on who the player character is but I don't believe we'll see multiple player characters as I feel it would take something away from the game, I like getting attached to your one character.

 

And finally, that trailer analysis on CVG is pretty impressive but I cannot BELIEVE he utters the line "and here, is a convertible car. The first time in GTA they've had convertibles?" "I think so, yeah". Arghhh! Surely a gaming website should be aware that the other games have had convertibles in?! First time they've had retractable roofs (looks that way) but certainly not the first time they've had convertibles.

Can't believe I've seen the trailer.

It's like I'm about to wake up and the counter says 1 day 12 hours 37 minutes.

 

First thing I thought was Vice City, with the beach and all that.

But then it was obvious it's Los Santos.

But then wait ... the license plate says: San Andreas, so it's got to be more than Los Satos.

 

OMG I'm a bit drunk now, of excitement and beer

 

Can't wait for the next trailer and some f*cking screenshots.
