The year for the game is set in 2008 according to R* site...[url=http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire and check the radio sections it gives dates for previous game sttings for radio adverts and states 2008 soon to come...dont know if its new news?

No. This is the year that GTA IV was released, but they are still working on this section.

Would've been great if it was based on John Gravelli and Ancelotti. Remember in IV when Gravelli said he should have killed Ancelotti in '72 when he had the chance?

GTA IV was set in 2008, which was the current year at the time. Interestingly, GTA IV was set in the future, around late 2008. The game was released in April 2008. I think that GTA V will be the same case again, probably around May-July 2013.

The fall setting of GTA IV was designed for the original October 2007 release date although they changed the setting to 2008 so the media content could be as fresh as possible. The environment was mostly done when the delay happened. A Los Angeles setting has the benefit of seasons being less than obvious in visual media. They don't really have to give any indication what time of year it is.

No dude im in the right place, i was making an observation on something i thought might be in the game due to the R* radio station websites...what have you came across?

Yeah dogs is cool, but i think radio advertisements might give u information on more u can do, like gta IV a radio advert give you information on websites which you could access like Just Meet and also the one which gave you a wanted level lol.

No pet stores. A more GTA way to do this would be if you can give a dog some food (like giving a busker money in GTA IV) then maybe the dog follows you and defends you from attack for a while. Extra coolness if it will play fetch with any object you pick up and throw.

Dogs would be cool but only if they actually used them properly like maybe police dogs chase you, be pretty cool running over a fence and dog just stands barking at you.

 

But any other animals would be useless IMO.

I agree. I hope it's not just dogs standing around for atmosphere. Police dogs would be an easy way of solving the problem of being hidden inside the red wanted circle. You could hide then a dog would zero in on you.

Everyone keeps remaking the V trailer with all these games, but did anyone make one with Midnight Club: LA? That is definitely going to be the closest we can get to the V trailer in any other game. Also about the animals, I think you guys are right. anything other than dogs would be useless.
