The trailer didn't show any sign of Las Venturas, but I'm assuming that will be included. Hope so anyway. As far as the protagonist goes... I'd like to think it's Tommi Vercetti, although that seems unlikely. Saying that though I still think that guy in the suit could be him, even if he's not a playable character he's probably still in the game. I don't think it's possible to make an accurate prediction based on what you see in the trailer, too many characters are shown and any of them could be the protagonist. Or he wasn't shown at all in the trailer. Hyped to see animals this time. Hyped to see the mountains. I'm hoping the map will be the same as SA. Overall I'm pleased so far. No complaints yet

This guy has a huge close-up and a serious expression. Either he's one of the most significant characters or the main character. Maybe it's Tommy, but who knows. That'd be awesome if it were. Perhaps Rockstar wants to be more mysterious.

Who's that?

I literally provided all the references to him and a photo.

 

'James Pedeaston is a child molester wanted in Malaysia and is being investigated by the FBI. He hosted The Wild Traveler show on WCTR in 1992, although it is apparently syndicated to nine other stations (not heard in-game). He enjoys traveling the world and logging some of his most 'exotic' encounters in his travelogue, some of which he accidentally reads on-air to the disgust of the listeners. His show appears to be so reviled by his listeners that at one point, he receives few calls which are not supportive. For example, a caller tells him to stop droning on about other countries and focus on talking about where he lives.

At one point he received a phone call from a suicidal man in Verdant Bluffs who wanted to go to hell.

Pedeaston replies with "Me too! Buy me a refrigerator magnet when you get there".

 

In GTA IV, he was arrested by the Indonesian police after being suspected of child molesting in Bali, Indonesia in 2003.'

But...A website (which is accessible through the [email protected] Computers) www.freejames.org is in support of freeing him from Jail.

Am I the only one that is worried about the 4chan rumor? It seems odd to me actually that it would be leaked right before the trailer. I hope Rockstar would confirm that this is fake.

GTA 5 4chan rumor

 

 

- The main character, Adrian, is a Hispanic man

- The game is set in 2012 San Andreas

- You start out getting beaten and robbed in rival gang territory

- Money plays a large role

- Multiplayer includes new modes, cooperative play

- 32-player and 64-player support for consoles and PC respectively

- PC includes dedicated server support

- Rockstar Leeds is handling the PC support. The game will apparently be better optimized for PC than GTA IV

- San Andreas includes all the cities from the first game, but they’ll be larger and more detailed

I think the fact that the main character is not hispanic proves that that story is rubbish. Yes, it is San Andreas but that was very highly suspected many months ago because of the LA rumours.

Hey there, i am not sure if this has been noticed before, but the scene with the hobo holding a sign looks like it is taken in front of a busy road, posibly a highway. And somehow it reminds me alot of the highway through los santos in the las venturas direction, just before the huge overpass intersection. The roadsign on the right side of the road caught my eye. The bottom name seems a lot like Las Venturas. The ones above it could be villages, like blueberry in San Andreas. Probably my eyes and brains fooling me so late at night though.

It's not Pedeaston, for the following reasons:

 

1) It's not him

2) It doesn't look like him

3) It's obviously not him

4) The casting call with Pedeaston on it was fake
