I don't understand why people can't understand GTA III Era characters won't be in GTA V. GTA V is in the GTA IV Era. Did someone see any GTA III/VC/SA characters in GTA IV/EFLC? No!

I've been thinking about this and I'm not sure it is in IV era.

 

Think about it, how can they implement plots and characters from IV when the story had a lot of key moments altered by the path you chose. It would be impossible to get it right for everyone.

It is possible to it won't be in the GTA IV era, but it can't be in the GTA III era. San Andreas looks very diferent from the old SA.

But I heard somewhere, there will be some GTA IV characters.

Think about it, how can they implement plots and characters from IV when the story had a lot of key moments altered by the path you chose. It would be impossible to get it right for everyone.

It wouldn't be impossible. For example, when talking about what happened to Niko at the ending of the game (death of Roman or Packie's sister), they could simply say "he lost someone close to him" and so on. They could easily go around the key moments of the game like that. Also, it's not like they're gonna tell the whole story of IV in V with every detail.

Hambones, If you just check what I wrote instead of acting stupid you might just find out that I was being serious.

I just took the map that was leaked and combined it with a screenshot from the real, official trailer and guess what… It seems to fit.

 

Btw, the guys who rendered this map as fake did so by doing an “Image Error Analysis” to determine if the image has been modified or not. You can, ofcourse, do so with a real image, preferably the original Image (to be completely sure!) but you cant analyze a picture of a picture of a Monitor. The Monitor distorts the picture!

 

Anyway, all I’m saying is that it fits.

Has anyone noticed stuff blowing in the wind in almost every shot for the first half a minute? even the sunshades on the shops do it, and the police line at 0:22. I never noticed that on IV. would be a nice feature!

Then how is it proven? Just because the $-sign is at the wrong side?

have you seen rockstar use any of their previous game's protagonist as the main character in their new games at all? they don't, and they probably never will.

 

they might mention them in a flashback or just have their name be brought up, but not be the main character in the new game (like how ken told cj "just like old times eh tommy" and cj is like "who the f**k is tommy?"). besides, V is probably gonna follow IV, not the III-era, so like everyone else has already said repeatedly, don't expect tommy to be mentioned at all, even as an easter egg.

This map is awful. Rockstar would never make anything this ugly.

 

It's clearly made from cut-up pieces of the San Andreas map. Plus there won't be a Mount Chilliad as it was near San Fierro(San Francisco) and San Francisco isn't currently in southern california.

My point still stands and yours continues to be moot. The issue is not wether it is real or not, its that your post is irrelevant to this thread. This is not a map analysis thread, there is no connection between the image you posted and the official trailer other than your imagination. If you would like to go in depth about geographical features in that map by all means put in the fake map thread where it is relevant.

Yeah, I noticed it and loved it. But I remember the flying birds in the GTAIV trailer and how they disappeared in the finished game so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
