goldboy76 0 Posted October 31, 2011 I think the trailer is online but it is set on 11/02/2011 12:00 us time. If anyone knows how to link a .json file to a swf file, I can upload it and change it to this date.

I bet they'll manually add the trailer so as to avoid any possible leaking.
GTA36362355 377 Posted October 31, 2011 That would be a bad thing to do buddy. Better wait for 3 days than messing with R*.

Slamman 129 Posted October 31, 2011 Already been posted and locked by Andrew. As I know it, Webmasters can backup what you see in a mirror offline, so it's not available to you, bottom line!

Slamman 129 Posted October 31, 2011 Not ^ As I said, it's not online, they can have a template for setting a web page offline you know, and make it online in an instant, virtually
SchizNitz 143 Posted October 31, 2011 so does anyone know how to do it. I personally have no idea what the hell he is talking about but still worth a try.
Slamman 129 Posted October 31, 2011 Wasting your time, man. What earthly reason would they have to hide the trailer online, versus have it prepped offline? That and they can always work on something like that before taking it "live", offline
Adriaan 1,214 Posted October 31, 2011 The countdown timer is based on your computer clock. Change your computer date ahead to say November 3rd and see what happens. When it reaches zero it will automatically play the trailer; but as you can see from advancing your computer date, the trailer is not yet uploaded. So no matter what you do, it's just not there yet. Best case scenario, it will be moved to the public servers at like 5 mins before debut date.

Slamman 129 Posted October 31, 2011 I know from my friend Mike building more then one web site that he does his testing on an identical site that no one can mess with, it's off line, and there's no way in heck you can find out where it is, it's on his own server or computer, for an example of how that works. I'm going by what he's told me. Rockstar have no need to make it available early, logically one would argue
mobinga 0 Posted October 31, 2011 JSON? I can make it stream on my webpage imediately it's up. But they would manually add it!
MichaelOne 0 Posted October 31, 2011 original OP here. ive tried to "hack" the http header using firefox add-on "TemperDATA" using the path to my offline json file, but without success. It gives me 400 or just nothing. if anyone interested, here is decompiled sources of the original RockstarVideoPlayer.swf - http://rghost.ru/27916321
Slamman 129 Posted October 31, 2011 ...Try waiting to stream it when the time comes, and once that happens, it's in the cache of your browser, you can play it over and over and over, and over without EVER HAVING to download it or try and link to an over-populated site. You can wait, we know you can

Girish 3,652 Posted October 31, 2011 Do you really think that the trailer is placed online? Or on any internet connected computer? The trailer is stored offline and will be placed online at the time the trailer goes live.
