TruXter Posted October 26, 2011 Share Posted October 26, 2011 I think it's interesting that it's incorporated "Five". GTA III was never marketed as "Three" and GTA IV as "Four". Maybe there's more to it? Probably a bit optimistic, but could it possibly hint to a map with 5 major settings? Generally I agree with everyone else saying it has a very $$$$$ vibe to it. But GTA2 was the first to use a number and the GTA name. The original name was Grand Theft Auto. Nicknamed GTA, so Rockstar took on the nickname. The use of the Number 2 and then the move to the roman numerals was "just a thing" So writing out the full number is a Nice New difference. Like we'll be running a casino in Venturas. This whole year I've been picturing Las Venturas whenever I thought of GTA V, so seeing this green V with the patterns only makes me lean further in that direction. Money talks, and everybody listens. I agree it certainly is looking that we'll be seeing a casino type theme, SA / LV for sure. The white scroll gives a rich and royal feeling. Big business. The fact that Vice is widely regarded as "the favourite", they're probably saving it till last, for this generation of consoles. This is kind of what I'm thinking too. Though if the gap between V and VI is as large as the gap between IV and V, the PS3 will have probably have been replaced by the PS4 by the time VI comes out, so they better not take too long. I wish someone could change it for me. The logo is so much like: kind of 'global', I think it can be multiple cities. San Andreas, I guess. It's different than any GTA logo, this one is deep and mystical in some way. I bet you can describe the game atmosphere from that, just like from any GTA logo (example: Vice City. A pink neon edging title which gives the atmosphere of "sweet 80's" and summer time), but in that one you can REALLY tell something more. When I first look at it, I see San Andreas with stupid CJ. First thing that came in mind was the tattoos in SanAndreas. And I must say that these theories are getting out there again.. Lincoln is on fiver -> MUST BE DC! Etc. Wouldnt it be reasonable to asume that R* could be able to produce (at least) as many cities within a 4 years (plus) development time? What if.... GTAV has five cities? Do you believe that to be an impossibility? I just think it is peculiar that "5"is presented in letters AND numerals. Isnt that kinda overstating it; unless there are more than one meaning behind it. In the movie business, when they have made 3-4 movies in one series, they tend to stop numbering their movies and just call them something else. R* on the other hand seem to really, really wanna express that this is GTA "5". Could the 5 in the logo also symbolize something else? Im just throwing my thoughts out there... SA was Cubeland compared with IV's LC. Development time increase exponentally when you have to add lot's of little details here and there (And even more research time). GTA IV is enough of Liberty City. The logo doesn't seem fake but it is kind of: different. It really describes the theme of the game: Big Money!!
