i still think its Vice City because yes SA with LS,LV and SF are brilliant but i really don't know, I mean yes in LV,SF,LS you get the open space and the freedom but if you remember from IV with drugs from VC which gives you tons of money from.

Judging by the logo, I don't think it's gonna be Vice City. It looks western to me. Maybe we'll play as a cattle rancher!

The place doesn't matter, but if it's Liberty City I am going to blow up. It's the most used city, and it would be stupid if they would do 4 games in a row, based in LC(IV, TLAD, TBOTGT, CTW). Don't get me wrong, it's great city but I want something else. Would be awesome if they bring a new city to the series. I've been thinking about two cities, Lincoln City(Washington DC) and Hare City(Chicago). BUT I WANT VICE!

They won't set the city in liberty city again, it's too fresh now. They'll at least wait a few more games before that happens.

Also, they've even shown this picture after the release of GTA IV (not sure), so we won't see Liberty City in the next GTA.

You can get Drugs anywhere, it doesn't necessarily have to be Vice City. I mean if we look to the modern day, you could set it in Mexico and have it about drugs, or any city in the world to be honest.

Not trying to be a jerk, but there's no way R* will change their plans because of an email signed by random people. GTA V will come to PC sooner or later. Let's hope R* takes the time needed to make the PC version great from the beginning, and not a complete disaster like IV.

As much as the logo doesn't 'feel' like Vice City, it still could be there. I've stated before I'd prefer SA but right now none us really know. What we associate with VC is sunshine and neon pink, but a modern day version would be more gritty. It's fun to speculate but the board is really split for me, I feel it could be anywhere.

Sanandreas was given 2 chances, gta 1 and GTA SA. Never seen again.

Saints row 1 and 2 used stillwater and switched to stealport in SR3 because stillwater lost its novelty. I think rockstar should do that to GTA 5. Maybe a completly random fictional city based on the world. 1 islands based off USA, another island based off japan and another off mexico.

I think it might be one city likely Vegas, with 2 more cities as big DLC.

Vegas isn't big enough. If GTA were a linear story-driven game, then yes. But it's free roam. So unless it's detailed to the square mile, it won't soley be Las Venturas.

Remember, this is "the big one".

Hawaii would be perfect, it'd have a party atmosphere as well as be very realistic as a state of its own. It's an island, after all, so setting it in the middle of an expanse of water could work. Still believing it's Los Santos, though (don't want it there).

It's also in the game located inside Alderney safehouse.

Ah, Packie would work... Perhaps, because he is flying with Niko's ticket, he'll come into contact with one of Niko's old enemies (are there any left? It's been about 10 months since I last played IV), and that'll be the cause of his problems.

Of course it's all true, but we know how clever they are in marketing their games especially when it comes to GTA. I mean what a surprise that announcement was. They haven't even uttered a word, it's just a logo and a date. I just can't wait to see this trailer.

companies like that dont usually listen like that. Dont make them rush it, trust me, or else it will be a fail port.

I am sure they will. According to their latest Asked and Answer, they know that PC gamers want Red Dead Redemption through mouthoff emails and Newswire post.

 

Actually, GTA IV could pretty much be considered a kinda fail port. Plus, Rockstar Leeds is doing very well with their PC versions. And for your information, Rockstar Leeds is currently working on both L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3 for PC so I am pretty sure Rockstar would assign GTA V PC for them too.

 

@Andrew - That won't always be the same. As far as I know, Rockstar Games is starting to price their PC games for $60 starting from Max Payne 3. I personally wouldn't mind paying $60 as long as we PC gamers get to play GTA V PC the same time as the consoles.

 

@Columbo - Who knows? There is definitely a better chance if we, PC gamers tell them before they even announced the platforms.
