I think 100% and they want to release it sooner than later. And late 2012 is too long, a earlier date is more logic.

Why is it more logical? A longer wait means a bigger hype, which will mean bigger sales...

They already have that! A longer wait means disgruntled fans. Shorter wait - It's fresh in everyone's mind! But I also think that with any amount of time, be it a long or short time, GTA V will sell big time.

But its still solid marketing, if the release date was on the trailer, and it was set for October 2012, you could come on here and moan and piss about how you have waited so long for this it should be out sooner blah blah, next month R* release another trailer, everyone pisses there pants with excitement and the wait will seem so worth it.

 

People will moan if the release day is next year, why? Because they expect it sooner! Well Rome wasn't built in a day guys.

 

And when this game comes out, if its tomorrow or next year, you will still buy it.

Oh and the sooner the release for GTA V the bigger the sales because of this near 4 year hype. And that is the hype for GTA V and not waiting until late 2012

 

Add 11.02.11 together and get the answer then put the number with the letters FIVE to get the month which i have been pointing out for months and recently. 24/05/2012

You have no idea how long I've waited for any game where you can drive to feature it, I've never seen it. Something so basic, yet adds to the realism by just that little bit!

I know! But maybe it's down to the Buttons on the controller and the controls. For example, with IV, what button would you assign indicating to? All the buttons were used weren't they?

R* has put a big hint on their website if actually look at it and add 11+2+11 and the letters FIVE and you get the relaese date sitting right in front of you like the tail of the plane at 13:04 of TBOGT credits on Youtube instead of saying late 2012 is more logic and so on

I'm just gonna say this. If it is in Los Santos and the rest of San Andreas isn't there, I will be really disappointed. I don't think it would be too hard. Los Santos, Venturas and Fiero could be the size of Alderney, Algonquin, Broker/Dukes then have the countryside in between. I doubt that is too hard, especially since not as much detail has to go into countryside.

I would have NO problem with Los Santos. In fact I would love for Los Santos to be featured. But that's the key word "featured." You can't just have one city from a previous game, re-do it and then magically forget about the rest. If they are gonna do Los Santos, they need the rest of San Andreas.

 

"Hey guys, remember that San Andreas state you all had a blast playing? Well that was based in '92, in the GTA universe... well there was like this big earthquake a few years later which separated Los Santos from the rest!"

 

In other words, it will just seem really odd knowing there is more to that environment. It will also be sad that the other parts couldn't be featured. Like I said, 3 cities the size of Algonquin and countryside in between? Surely that wouldnt be hard.

I'd love for it to be set in the whole of SA again, but if they are going to give it the treatment that LC got in IV the map would have to be huge to feel authentic. TBH i'd rather have one huge varied city with some countryside surrounding it than 3 tiny cities linked by weird contrasting countryside. That worked fine in the III era but with the way the series is going I personally can't see it happening this time.

and GTA V won't stand chance in the winter months of any year. And somebody has mentioned in this topic that R* has decided to not release it the Holiday season anymore. For it to win is by releasing it earlier than later

Would be a tight one, i guess GTA would win purely for the new factor and most people have played COD titles year after year, but i seriously wouldn't want to bet on it..

If you chop off any of those from the end to the beginning, you lose no real needed info. 201111 still tells you November 2011, 20111102T16 still tells you that it will be the 16th hour of November 2nd 2011.

Am I the only one who's insanely nervous? I mean, what if the trailer proves that none of our complaints were addressed? I'll buy the game regardless, but I've still gotten way too comfortable with the idea that there will be car modification, better damage, better physics, and better everything. If there's not, I can't say I won't be disappointed.

Only trouble is, I was never a fan of the Las Venturas-end of GTA-SA. It seemed the point where all the ideas dribbled away.

That said, Vegas in the 70s/80s would be WINRAR. Mobsters, casinos, nice. Today LV is just disneyland-with-hookers. Dull.
