I really hope the trailer answers all our questions becuse it will definitely be 2-3 months before 2nd trailer comes out 

It obviously won't answer all of them but it will answer the main ones like location, protagonist etc.

It will certainly give us a glimpse into the game and wet our appetites for more. Location will definitely be answer and protagonist will be shown and possibly a bit of the plot.

I don't know, I think they might show the city (s) and the main map area's but They might not mention a name, they might leave it for us to guess where it is.

Every time i see the logo it makes me think of san andreas and carl Johnson and grove street so i'm going with san andreas.

It's not about what the logo makes you think of, it's about what it symbolizes. If I will go with what I though of, I would say that it reminded me of this the first time I saw it:

International date formats are different - in the UK, we do Day/Month/Year

 

The US does Month/Day/Year. It's in US format, so 2nd November.

I think 100% and they want to release it sooner than later. And late 2012 is too long, a earlier date is more logic.

Why is it more logical? A longer wait means a bigger hype, which will mean bigger sales...

While LA Noire had some nice and interesting locations on it's map, it was ultimately dull to drive around. That's the problem with setting a game in a real location, there's less scope for artistic license. There's literally no benefit whatsoever from setting GTA in a real location.

 

Having said that I'm inclined to go with Las Venturas or the entire San Andreas state as a setting for GTA V.

The announcement seems more out of the blue than with other GTAs. I like it. It's better to not be expecting anything, and then BAM, getting a trailer, than having to wait for it or faint away trying.

 

I hope they show some new gameplay additions and a realistic, but less serious story. Kind of how movies like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon were kind of realistic but still funny.

 

Also, an era we haven't seen yet. Maybe 60s or summin or the future.

 

What I'm wondering is, if this is just a lazy move by R* considering they have many games featuring LA already. Either way, if the game rocks, I'll be happy.

Means that the people has waited for nearly 4 years for this and if it gets delayed until October 2012 then more people will be annoyed to wait another year just to have it in their hands so that is why a sooner release date is logic. And this near 4 years wait has already caused the hype for GTA V and any later will be a pointless move

They already have that! A longer wait means disgruntled fans. Shorter wait - It's fresh in everyone's mind! But I also think that with any amount of time, be it a long or short time, GTA V will sell big time.

I'm just gonna say this. If it is in Los Santos and the rest of San Andreas isn't there, I will be really disappointed. I don't think it would be too hard. Los Santos, Venturas and Fiero could be the size of Alderney, Algonquin, Broker/Dukes then have the countryside in between. I doubt that is too hard, especially since not as much detail has to go into countryside.

This i can agree with, basing it loosely on a real city is fine (As we have all seen) But i think the beauty lies in R* being able to create a world the way they want it to!

 

Take San Andreas for example, a huge green forest opposite a boiling hot desert?! But did it work? Hell yes.

Oh and the sooner the release for GTA V the bigger the sales because of this near 4 year hype. And that is the hype for GTA V and not waiting until late 2012

 

Add 11.02.11 together and get the answer then put the number with the letters FIVE to get the month which i have been pointing out for months and recently. 24/05/2012

You have no idea how long I've waited for any game where you can drive to feature it, I've never seen it. Something so basic, yet adds to the realism by just that little bit!
