I still know my way around that map inside out. VC too. However , SA was so big, I would have some difficulty getting around. For a little while anyway  icon14.gif

Other way around for me. I know SA like the back of my hand. And VC too to some extent... but it;s been so long since I last played GTA III that I can only recall certain parts of the map and the storyline.

 

I think I might have to pick it up on Steam and refresh my memory. tounge2.gif

Now that you say it, maybe I will download San Andreas.

One piece of advice- when the website freezes (inevitable) close it down immediately and wait to see it when it works, or when its up on youtube. Otherwise you could get the trailer in parts, so it 'jumps' like when you have a really laggy stream going or something. That would ruin seeing it for the first time.

if i watch the trailer LIVE from r*, it will be a tragedy... the site will crash or freeze or the video will be unwatchable (it will slow down and buffer).

 

if i watch later on youtube (or similar sites), some F***ing idiot will put a title like "GTA V- name of the city/protagonist", ruining the experience

 

if i come on this forum to find a safe link, each and every one of you will be a potential spoiler-guy (and, in case of spoiler, a target on my murder list tounge2.gif )

 

so... where i can safely see the trailer shortly after the relase without spoiler?????

Yeah, i'm not even going to risk the frustration. Waiting 5-10 minutes longer for it to surface on youtube won't hurt.

Your best option is to just give it ten minutes or so. You've waited this long so I'm sure ten minutes will be nothing. Make a tea or coffee. Have a smoke. Phone someone. Do anything that'll pass the time and then go the Rockstar website and watch. If you want to be extra safe, I'll download the video (which I'm doing anyway) and send it to you with absolutely no spoilers.

don't go on forums, and don't watch the trailer live. wait an hour or two then watch it and it should play fine. me, on the other hand, i'll be on the forums and trying to play the video at the countdown time even though I know it's going to crash. that's what I did with GTA IV smile.gif

Also, don't people think that there might be some fool on YouTube who posts a comment about the city/character/setting/ect? It might even be the top rated one.

Possibly. Although the previous trailers were kind've vague. They could take a pretty good guess at the city and time perior, but they're not going to know the character's name.

I have been secretly working for Rockstar all along. The location will be L.A and Las Vegas, aswell as the desert between. Or maybe im lying and it is really Chicago.

I actually took the day off work on wednesday and cited "some family thing" it will be definitely worth it missing out on all that money to see the trailer straight away when it's released and bask in the glory with all you guys. colgate.gif

I've definitely lowered my expectations this time compared to last time. I was very disappointed, I remember I really didn't like the trailer at all. It didn't look like a GTA game to me because I was so used to the III-era look. I wasn't opposed to having better graphics, it was just hard for me to accept that this is what GTA looks like in the new gen of consoles. It was weird. I hated Niko, just the way that dialogue was delivered in the trailer was like nails on a chalkboard to me. I didn't like any of the other trailers either, for the same reason. Other than VCS, GTA IV was to me the biggest GTA disappointment. III wowed me Vice was cool, San An was epic, LCS was a nice return to III, VCS was a mess... bad story, bad acting, horrible glitches, etc. GTA IV had amazing gameplay and physics and looked beautiful but I just didn't like the story or the characters - save for the mcreary brothers, playboy x and dwayne.
