to be honest, i really hope we can see girl cops. They say they want a realistic game, then wheres the flyable airplanes, the girl cops... ETC?

But then the Women's Rights groups will be up in arms about your ability to "massacre female officers of the law", all while not giving a sh*t about their male counter-parts.

OT: I'm waiting to see the graphics for the game. I mean, the graphics in GTA IV are still very good when compared to other modern games, and to say it was in 2009, wow, I wonder if Rockstar will bring the graphics from L.A. Noire, and use them in GTA V... That'd be immense.

la noire had issues with rendering systems to over heat within an hour of play. There lots of issues with that and rockstar wont say why. More details on the wikipedia page for it.

Doesn't really matter to much. I'm sure you'll get quite a few posts in this thread, it's going to be active right up until the trailer's released... Then I'm sure a topic will be made regarding the trailer.

 

OT: Just under 5 days to go now... Jesus, time's going so slow since I found out for me... Must be God's way of saying he doesn't want me playing games which give such a bad vibe... Haha.

Well... You can in GTA IV, just get the Simple Native Trainer if you've got the game on your PC and change into a woman... But, in cutscenes you'll seem like a cross-dresser due to Niko's voice.

Not that I'd like to play as a female. I'm a dude (last time I checked) so I can relate to playing as a guy, but playing as a girl would completely ruin the experience for me, as I can't relate to being a woman in any way whatsoever. Also, GTA is mostly played by men (although there are a few thousand female players), so yeah... Maybe making a DLC where you play as a girl? That I could dig completely, but not a whole game. Also, they'd have to make chick some kind of assassin. Playing as someone like Mallorie from IV wouldn't work for me, but playing as her cop friend (Michelle? I think... Can't remember) would rock. It'd give them nice incentive to make a cop-based story, because face it GTA cops most often look fat, and the few times we see female cops they are always better looking than their male counterparts.

Not necessarily. Just double the size of the mission script, as there would have to be two. The map would stay the same, and as far as I know, the mission script itself doesn't take that much space. The audio, however, does and that would be a problem.

But the only problem with Saints Row (IMO) is the story. If you have complete control over your character, the story is often bland.

Especially on the PC version, seen as though you can customise most of your audio on there both through the original game and through Mods. Especially the radio stations (Independence).

Main characters with a background story has been an essential part of GTA since GTAIII, it's one of the things that Rockstar does best. Saying you want a fully customizable character in a Rockstar games is giving them the biggest finger you can give to anybody. On-Topic: I am completely calm, Rockstar will do what is best. If they believe it is the best they can do at this point, then I'll buy it and play it, and most likely enjoy it. It's a Grand Theft Auto game, so I'm good. I have a Rockstar games fetish, it does things to me... Example: I have an uncontrollable urge to sit down for hours on end, playing with my joystick and yelling in delight/anger.

simple solution:

 

1 voice over for male, 1 voice over for female.

choose a gender.

 

Then it will render into the cutscenes like it does in saints row.

You never know how it'll fit until it happens. I vaguely remember, back in the mists of time, there was a bit of a "reaction" when it was revealed that the main character of SA would be black. Now no one cares.
