I saw this video last night but I wasn't sure if he was saying GTA IV or GTA Forums becuase he started talking so fast.

I had my doubts about it being GTA Forums when I first saw this video last night, not that I was excited or anything, I was more puzzled.

Houser said in the recent interview he did with, I think IGN or wherever else, that GTA has become all about Americana, American media, etc. so its pretty hard to believe it'll take place out of America... and thats without even taking into account the logo.

Same for me.

 

Driving in the countryside and the desert is just so more amazing, mainly because its very dark and driving and exploring is much more fun.

Believe it or not, I like to do a single-player roleplay when I am bored, as I am driving throught the country side, I never ever use the map, road directions.

If thats included it will definitely be a lot more engaging I'd assume based off the random encounter system they had in Red Dead. In SA, it was more of just emptiness where you had to create excitement... I'm not knocking SA either, that was a masterpiece of a game.

Random encounters are basically missions involving ‘random characters’—that is—characters unconnected to the main story.

As for countryside I would welcome that back in a heartbeat, I remember in SA driving along a winding country road at night in a rainstorm when A Horse With No Name came on the radio. It just fit the scene perfectly a haunting theme against a backdrop of loneliness.

 

Its moments like that when its no longer just a game but an experience that emotionally moves you. I literally could reflect on my own life right then and there.
