Why would it be so hard to focus on more than one protagonist? I'm sure if it's done right, you guys will be totally immersed and forget about the issue immediately.

For me personally, believe me I would hate it. LA Noire tried it and I hated it then.

Well, to put it simply, it breaks tradition. They did do it in the very first one, but you choose who you want to play from the beginning. If you pull the old switcheroo during the story, then I find it confusing. I liked how they did it in RDR though. Not L.A. Noire. lol

True dat! Im sure next gen consoles wont arrive before 2014. Becuse do you really think R* would announce GTA V if the next gen consoles were around the corner? OFC NOT. They would develop it for next gen consoles instead if that were the case.

I don't belive there will be multiple characters but i do think it will be based in San Andreas and we will see Niko and Packie there (Because we see Niko's San Andreas ticket and At the end of BoGT we see Packie getting on a plane possibly to San Andreas too ) Maybe we will take a few missions from them both.

I Think we'll just have to wait and see.... It may be completely wrong , total bs. Who knows, i'm sure the trailer will explain it a tad

In that perspective I could understand that. Most of the time you were Phelps, and then alluva sudden you're this other guy. It didn't help that people were already used to him by the end of the game, I agree. It just wasn't implemented in a way that the players could become familiar with all protagonists.

The first games don't really matter. There was no in-depth story or voices or anything to get you into the story.

I understand where everyone is coming from, though.

 

 

I'm guessing as long as they even out the playtimes for each protagonist it could be pretty well-paced.

No, they were all story lines, running together at the same time, which makes it a 3 player game.

Well, I would accept if there would be many stories with different protagonists in the game(but I don't like the multiple protagonist idea). It would be stupid if the first main character - as example, dies - and then it changes to an another character - as example, a friend or brother of the first protagonist - who want's revenge on the killer. And then, he fails and needs to escape, and now it changes to a guy who's still in the town and want's revenge as well. Just an example.

Mini-games don't have so many missions and side-quests. I think Racecarlock is right that the multiple characters point to multiple DLCs.

i have a bad feeling rock* might over do it with crap. Like no offence to the people who post on our wishlist, but to me it looks like most of it is filled with crap.

Any bad feelings is just anticipation. We've all been shocked! That will all go away though as soon as we see that trailer, the excitement will replace any concerns.

The only reason I brought it up was because alot of people here were talking like it was confirmed or something. Now that I know it't not, I feel relieved. I don't feel like flipping through all these pages to find the truth.
