Look,i think that in the GTA V you will use the ''multiples characters'' in determined time.

 

EXAMPLE: in 1850 yo u control some character of the Red Dead's times.

 

In 1945 you control some character of the L.A Noire's times.

 

In 2012 you control some character of the GTA'S times.

I'd rather not believe you can play multiple characters, two sounds too many let alone more. You would lose the connection you build with the protag and their story if you had to switch. However, we do know R* aren't afraid to introduce this, like they did in RDR.

Going by the reports made by Kotaku (which I believe are doubtful..), we'll be seeing multiple protagonists in a L.A. type setting.

This immediately makes me think of the movie 'Crash', I hope (if the reports are true) they model this game off that movie.

You'll play as crooked, racist, caucasian cop at one point and then at another point an African American street thug, etc, etc..

And then in the end the stories intertwine somehow..

i think they're go to focus heavily on the multiplayer, i'm getting so excited. now all R* needs is a new bully and proper sequel to manhunt, lol.

It's reasonably old. I think it's a joke; that's supposed to be drugs growing in that field. You know, gear?

I think it'll be that you can finish the story of another character who you stop having encounters with at some point of one protagonist's story. I'll take an San Andreas example of character: you are CJ and are sold out by Ryder and Smoke, when you move out of LS, you can also play Ryder's story from there.

 

That's just an example so don't bring up how Ryder is killed later on.

Yeah it sure sounds interesting, but very new- for a gta game...

Interesting tho, i'm also thinking this could be a new multiplsyer thing on the side. Not main aspect of game...

I am really starting to think that GTA V will take place in Washington D.C, or whatever they name it. October 25th is really important in the American bill history, "Fidel Castro, Cuba's President, announces that transactions using the American Dollar will be banned." Also, the Mexican day of the dead at November 2nd is saying to me that the protagonist is Mexican or Spanish. That would be really cool. And there's more important events on those days, and Rockstar is always having an ace in their sleeves.

Okay, how is this possible?

Saints Row didn't even exist until 2007 (I think..), let alone the current-gen consoles (2006).

How on Earth did Rockstar take a stab at Saints Row all the way back in 2001?

The reason the trailer is coming out in November, is because the Guns and Roses song "November Rain" will be featured on one of the radio stations I'm guessing.

For me is enough too,but you forget that they are focused on ''alternative ways''?maybe is because this that they are making with multiple characters.

Agreed. I would understand R* trying to keep it fresh and all, but I would hate multiple characters. One thing I love about GTA games is getting attached to the protagonist. It's like you escape to actually be them/understand them.

Why would it be so hard to focus on more than one protagonist? I'm sure if it's done right, you guys will be totally immersed and forget about the issue immediately.
