Grand Theft Auto V Announced

This game is going to be a major success to R*, and I think there was an article that R* stated that they would do games for another 10 years.

 

 

Hold on a second, this is deja vu, I have definitely seen this before.

The question is... will GTA V be bigger than RDR? 

I didnt find RDR that big so i hope GTA V is bigger.

Yeah, it wasn't big, but it was bigger than LC. RDR had alot of detail though.

Well someone (I can't remember who) brought up the fact that the 2nd November is The Day of the Dead, which could hint at a Mexican setting. In Christian countries, it is known as All Soul's Day. Both are about the same thing: families gathering to remember the dead.

 

As for connections to the economy, the 25th October 1929 was a temporary rally in the market during the Wall Street Crash.

RDR's map size is overrated. It's big but not huge. Here's hoping it will be bigger than RDR.

1889 – North and South Dakota are admitted as the 39th and 40th U.S. states.

 

Which might be a V's place trace. Dakota...

 

And second date which is quite more interesting...

2004 – George W. Bush becomes a president of USA again.

 

The dollar V logo, George W. Bush... Is it possibly could be related with each other? Washington will take place of next GTA?

Wouldn't that be funny if everyone thought it would in LA. Then it turns out to be in another city. My three guesses are LA, D.C. and Hawaii

No LA. Already featured in LA Noire and Midnight Club: LA.

So they have enough experience with LA. And LA Noire is 1920 or 30, so there is a huge difference between 30th LA and 2011th LA.

 

But I m sure it won t be only one city. Otherwise R* don't listen to any of their fans, because nearly everybody wanted to get countryside and with that there will be automatically at least 2 cities.

Not necessarily. They could have one city with surrounding countryside. It doesn't have to be multiple cities with countryside in between. I personally think it will be 1 large major city (chicago) with surrounding countryside, and a handful of smaller outlying towns/villages.

I'm saying Los Santos (re-imagined of course), very bright and vibrant, set in the mid to late seventies, hispanic protagonist, rich and detailed map with an abundant amount of features.

If this is not the case, I'm thinking Vice City also. But, I would picture it to be more than just Vice City, I'd like to see the Caribbean and all those outlying islands.

I'd LOVE to see both of those maps in one game, but that seems a little unlikely in my mind!

Nope, that was always really fun. Remember the first easter egg I found, it was in Vice City, a literal easter egg. That's, in fact, what hooked me on GTA!

It seems to take place in Los Angeles. We'll see when the trailer is out but that's what I'm guessing.

Multiplayer is such a big component of games nowadays, and the amount they invest in social club events, I think it's almost guaranteed we'll see online play.

Maybe I'm looking too far into this, but everyone remembers the '555' poll thing right?

If you take a look at the logo, the main V is obviously (or maybe not..) a roman numeral 5 and then we have the "FIVE" going across the V and last, but not least, we have the V within the word "FIVE". 555?

I also noticed the fact that in the word "FIVE" we have I and V right next to each other. Maybe it's a subtle hint saying that the story will still be based in the IV era but it's a completely new game.

Again, just a little wacky theory I thought of..

Also adding to my theory, add 555 up you get 15, GTAV is the 15th GTA to be released, if you count London 1961, 1969 and both DLC's for GTAIV.

apparently too, the game won't feature one main character. which i agree with, u see the road R* is headed and the reoccurring idea is always different stories. i don't think V will focus it's game on one character in particular, i think u'll be playing the role of a couple to several different characters. i mean u see this every time, especially when they release different episodes and what not.

 

all i know is this, gtaIV is going to be off the charts amazing.

Going by the reports made by Kotaku (which I believe are doubtful..), we'll be seeing multiple protagonists in a L.A. type setting.

This immediately makes me think of the movie 'Crash', I hope (if the reports are true) they model this game off that movie.

You'll play as crooked, racist, caucasian cop at one point and then at another point an African American street thug, etc, etc..

And then in the end the stories intertwine somehow..
