I'm working on v0.4...it should be released soon.

 

Most work on:

bug/crash fixing

Spotting system (almost completely fixed....no more blip in water)

Addding extra stuff like the ones said by Hippie..at the moment i added 3 random dying condition.

 

 

This program cannot be run in DOS mode.

this is what it said along with alot of other stuff that i couldnt understand

Beta 0.4 out now. (you find link in the first post)

 

ChangeLog:

 

Completely fixed spotting area system.

Crash/Bug fixing.

Added 3 random killing condition. (add more in next release)

Added minor things like voices and more info in the dialogue.

 

Let me know your thoughts.

for those having install problems:

I noticed the instructions for installation say to copy the dll to the script folder. I don't know if it makes a difference but it should be scripts.

hey, already told u how cool ur mod is, but one thing:

 

 

Please make it so that we don't have to drive to middlepark for a new mission all the time.

 

Something like just calling a number and you get your target or something like this.

 

Maybe so that you have to meet the middlepark toilet guy at least once, to get the entry in your phone to call him.

 

 

 

having to go to middlepark everytime is the only annoying thing, otherwise good job! icon14.gif

Great idea, or like the actual side missions where a guy calls you at a phone box and tells you who and where the target is, going to central park all time is annoying, when ya got a phone and all, great mod though!

V0.5 released.

 

ChangeLog

 

As requested, you don't have to go to middlepark anymore for a new mission. You can still do it, but if you want you can just call the contact with any public phone in the city.

I dont think this is working with EFLC , i stand infront of a pay phone and nothing happens , i searched in middle park for a contact but its a big place so gave up trying to find him. is there something i have to do to activate it?

Don't know if it works properly with EFLC, but it should. The contact in middlepark is in the public bathroom, there's a blip in the map. Or you can go near any public payphone and press E (LB for 360joypad). [watch the video in the first page, maybe it helps]

 

If it doesn't work post me the log of you ScriptHookDotNet.

Well, it should definitely work. you're using the right version of scripthook... and gta, too.

...if you want you can try to remove the other mods you have in the folder script and test if it works. you can also try to type in the console (in european keyboards you gotta press ò) the command "reloadscripts"....

i SEARCHED THE park but the only 2 things that looked like public toilets were not accessible they were quiet small infact! is there bigger one somewhere ive missed or maybe there just not in the bogt but cant see any reason why the devs would change that.

hitting e in front of a phone does nothing:(

As for ideas for the next version i personally would ask for the ability to get missions from email @ a computer and make it possible for us to insert our own mission briefings text and motivation for why the target must die . It would really flesh it out & add depth instead of just hollow killing of peds.

Plus if you could do that it would be a really big step in the right direction of a mission builder Something that GTAIV is really lacking. who knows you could prob add kidnapping, bride & stealing an item to the list. infact how about multiple assassinations missions to smile.gif

so, this mod stole me the time that i should have used for working the last days:D

yes, now it's definitely one of the top 5 mods for gta IV!!!

that idea with the puplic phones was just great!!

 

 

I really like it like it is now, but if you would like to hear some ideas, heres something that came up while playing it:

 

basically, the only thing to add to this perfectness would be just more diversity, or sometimes a little more difficult situations.

 

for example:

-some peds to be in a vehicle

 

-some rare peds having bodyguards around them. Like if they would know somebody is after them.

would also be cool if this happens while the target is driving in a vehicle, as passenger, the rest of the vehicle full of bodyguards. And then maybe 2 other cars escorting them with bodyguards inside.

But this should be really rare and random.

 

-some really rare times, you could be set up a trap, when you go around searching the area for your target, suddenly armed enemies surround you. if at all, it should be really really rare.

 

 

What i really like is the randomness of this mod, the stories that happen by itself:

 

like once my target was a hooker. I let her enter my car, drove off to a lonely beach with cliffs. it was night and it was raining. I let her do her job, then I let the car slip over the cliffs with her still inside.

 

or once my target was a puertorican gang member, with some other gangsters around him.

That was big shootout then:)

 

or the other time, my target was a police officer at the airport. standing in a group of other police officers. in a closed area.

Dang, that was a bang. took me 20 mnutes to shake off the cops and the helicopters, beeing heavily wounded...

Wow thanks for that link ,it looks like i was running an outdated version 0.5 , compaired to this new one v1.7.1.7 BETA.

and it also had a subfolder for mod scripts NICE! smile.gif. and a start your own projects stuff VERY NICE:) i will give this a try and hope another script i also never got running now runs too:)

YAY!! i can confirm this is working perfectly now and im very impressed with it, simple but very effective indeed.

just tried 2 missions first one strangely enough i thought he had borded the train and i had missed him so i decided to get the next to his station & i killed the target while the train ran over the fool as he must have been standing on the track lol.

second invloved me pushing the target infront of the approaching subway train awesome.

the only issue i had was my onfoot radio script did not work from the scripthook scripts folder so i will drop that back in the main as i need a script to play the independent radio while onfoot because the original syndicate war music i use as the backdrop for my syndicate mod plays from there.

 

now i have experienced this mod i would just love you too keep building on it and add having to deal with bodyguards or killing them infront of a uncooperative target as a threat to him to go along with whatever the client was demanding he do.

multiple targets would be cool.

 

and as alot of the original syndicate game missions were based around assassinations it woild make my day if i could put in my own mission briefing text so i could create some of the original missions .

 

would be really AWESOME too if you had to kill and retrieve an item from some of the targets also. keep up the good work buddy

It works for me perfectly, its only certain payphones! I dont know why but certain ones work, others dont

probably i miss some model....if you could post a screen of the map where's located the phone i fix it.
