Families first came to the east coast in 1996. The first set was UbK (Uptown Balla Killas), in Uptown Algonquin, Liberty City, Liberty. The 1st OG to bring the funk to LC was OG Domino from Los Santos he was a Grove ST OG and came to LC to expand. He couldnt bring Grove st to the east coast because that was a west coast set. So OG Domino gave the funk to his protege OG Dino, and they started UbK Families. OG Dino was a LC bred nigga. He was raised in North Holland right off of Galveston ave in my hood the notorious Westminister Towers. At the time OG Dino was a G in the M.O.B (Money over Bullsh*t). He was allowed to rep both because M.O.B. is a clique and UbK is a gang. Now let me tell yall a lil bit bout the set. Families we rep the 6 (six point star) and flag to the left. The east coast flag is red and the west coast flag is green. We done been in beef with lords and ballas. The first beef came in 1998 when ballas first came to LC. They started they first set in Uptown called BGB (Black Guerrilla Ballas). That same summer all hell broke lose. Alot homies got killed in that beef. OG Domino lost his life in 2001 cause of that beef, he was murked right outside the linen lounge in north holland. That war lasted till 03 when the feds had to come do a sweep because of all the violence in uptown. Alot of homies got hit with long bids because of that beef too. Then in 05 thats when i got down with the funk. I became families because they was the niggas that was getting to the money. My OG was Rocko he gave me my first piece of work. That same year a beef started between us and the lords. From June 2005 to september 07 nothing but shootouts and murders. I neva seen so many niggas get murked in my life. Uptown turned in to a f*ckin war zone. Alot of niggas didnt make it out that beef, some dead and some doin life. RIP lil savage, monk, ray-ray, Big ron, OG danny boy, man, OG domino, OG larry, OYG killa, nard, lil nard, steve, lil rico, OG monster, ricky, OYG red-rum, tip, OG mack, parlae .... thats just to name a few but we lost a lotta niggas to the struggle. Free the boss OG Dino serving life on a double homicide. But I just wanted to give yall some history behind this families sh*t. UbK blood in blood out.
