It was slow, but reliable. 248,000 miles on it when she sold it, still ran well. 1996-2003: 1989 Hyundai Excel. My mom inherited it after my grandma died. It was garbage, barely made it to 100,000 miles 2003-current: 2001 Toyota Corolla. She bought it with 29,000 miles on it, and it still runs great with 171,000 miles. Before I was born there was (in descending order) a 1970s Toyota Celica, a 1970s Jeep CJ5, a couple of AMC Hornets (one yellow, one green), 1969 Ford Mustang fastback. I know there's probably a couple more that I missed, but I don't remember. As for my dad, I don't know much of what he owned because I didn't meet him until I was a little older. The ones he owned before I was born/too young to remember: 19??-19??: Opel Manta B 198?-1999: Toyota Starlet The ones I remember: 1999-2002: Toyota Yaris (1st gen, petrol, red, 3 door) 2002-2007: Toyota Yaris (1st gen, petrol, silver, 5 door) 2007-2013: Toyota Yaris (2nd gen, diesel, silver/blue, 5 door) 2013-201?: Toyota Yaris (3rd gen, hybrid, black, 5 door) So yeah, my parents like Toyota quite a bit. I'll admit, they're not the most exciting cars around. But hey, they're cheap, reliable, practical, and they maintain their value quite well, and that's what my parents like. My dad can't barely afford any car at that time) 1999-2000: 1989 Mitsubishi Magna (my parents car when we moved to Australia for a year. My parents regreted buying that back then, said they actually could do better) 2000-2003: 1994 Opel Astra Sedan (my parents car after we moved back to Indonesia. A unique car for Indonesian standard) 2003-2013: 2001 Nissan Terrano (rebadged 1990 version) (my favorite car. I remembered my dad said to me that he would gave this car to me after I was 18, but it got sold to buy a newer car) 2005-2008: 2004 Honda Jazz (the first car that I ever driven, and the first car that I ever had accident with) 2008-present: 2008 Nissan Livina (my shared car with my mom) 2012-present: 2012 Daihatsu Xenia (dad's current car. I'm still curious why he bought that slow-ass POC. But I often take advantage for the people and luggage capacity though) 2013-present: 2013 Nissan Serena (the car that bought with the money from the Terrano they sold. A weekend warrior) There are some company lease car that my dad used such as Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Kijang LGX, but I forgot when my dad used it. Dad he actually had an ok car list -1971 Ford Falcon XY GT Falcon -1978 Ford Falcon XC Fairmont -1985 BMW 318I that was totaled in 93 in a robbery -After the BMW i don't know what he had until late 94 and met my mum which he then just used the Applause. after the break up he bought a -1989 Toyota Camry executive which he kept for a while actually i found out until he lost his license in 00 until 03 which he kept the camry in his garage in the mean time until he got his license back which he then got it checked, fixed what needed to be done and started driving it again until that got rear ended and this is why i remember his current car so much which is his -1995 Toyota Camry CSX, though this recently also got rear ended by a Volvo XC90 where the women was not paying attention, which he now is thinking to upgrade to a E39 BMW 5 series sas he likes them quite a bit. But Dad's first was a 76 Nova, then I'm unsure, then by the late 80's or so he had a 79 Camaro Berlinetta, then an S10 I think, then a 78 F100, then an 87 Ranger, then he had the 84 Bronco I'm still looking for, then we had a 2004 F150 FX4, between the Bronco and F150, we also had a 1991 Caravan he drove. That was replaced by a 2003 Ram with a hemi, which was replaced with a 1995 F150 5.0, then he had a 2005 Ranger before leasing the 2014 Edge he has now. During the S10- F100 period, he had a 73 Firebird project car he put a 400 in. BONUS: Found a pic of the 79 Camaro on dad's old photobucket. This was back in the 90's before they moved into the house we live in now, I wasn't even born yet. Most people have seen this one by now.
