Los Santos Pedestrian
My mom has drove since 1979 (age 16) and my dad since 1983 (age 18). Since then they have own a lot of cars. These are all of the cars they've own, some are classic but others are piles of crap. Here goes (note - my dad bought most of his cars for my mom: Mom's Cars: 1979 - a 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass, but was given away in 1980 because it was rusting '80-'85 - Mom has no car 1984 - My mom meets my dad at David's Cookies in Manhattan, which curses them into buying beaters for the next 19 years 1985 - Mom and dad buy a 1970-something Pontiac Grand Prix, which they bought for $100 and had for three weeks. 1986 - 1968 Ford Thunderbird, which was also a beater. They drove it from Manhattan to Los Angeles and back. That was sold in 1989. 1989 - 1969 Ford Mustang after mom moves to Fort Collins, Colorado. She has it until 1991. 1991 - Mom & dad buy a 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis, they have that until 1997 2000 - After my granddad has a stroke, he gives his 1992 Caravan to my mom. We drive that until 2003 when we buy a newer minivan. It sits in our driveway until 2004. The three cars we have now were all bought by my dad. Dad's Cars: 1985 - He buys an '84 Ford Bronco, he sells that in 1992. 1992 - A Saturn SL2, which was awful as well. It's sold in 2001. 2003 - Brand-new '04 Toyota Sienna, which replaces the Caravan. We still have it. 2004 - New '04 Jeep Liberty. That was briefly driven by my sister until she lost her driver's license. It only sits in our driveway and now we'll use it for plowing the driveway. 2010 - My dad buys an '03 Audi A3 station wagon from his former boss. We still have that. Long story short - My parents have been prone to driving beaters, and have only bought four new cars. If you want, post what your parents have posted in the previous years, whether they were awful or great.

Illousion
During the early 90's my dad drove a 1976 Cadillac Seville that was absolutely mint. Mid through late 90's he drove a 1978 Sedan deVille. My mother drove a MKII Ford Escort Ghia in the early 90's. That was a real luxury car, vinyl roof and a three-speed automatic transmission. Through the rest of the 90's she drove nothing but pieces of sh*t. An '86 Volvo 240 (US-export), an '85 Volvo 740 with whitewall tires and automatic transmission, and a 1995 Citroën XM. The last car was a real pile of junk. Couldn't last a week without something going wrong with it. In the late 80's she purchased a brand new Ford Scorpio Cosworth that my father drove before his Seville. That was actually a nice car. Dreaming of California, where the sun never sets. Cursed
I don't know of all the cars they've owned, but I'll just list the ones I know of: Dad: When he first learnt to drive he had a Mk2 Ford Capri, not sure what he had shortly after that. 1992-1994 he had a Fiesta XR2 that got stolen. After that he cycled to work for a couple of years until 1997 when my grandparents gave him their old Mk3 Escort. After that he had a Fiesta Mk2 followed by another Fiesta Mk2, then a Fiat Uno, then around 2000 he got a Peugeot 205. Around 2002 he got a 1997 Renault Laguna estate and now he has a 2005 Mondeo estate. Mum: Her first car was a Mazda 626 I believe, then a Mk1 Fiesta, then a Mk2 Fiesta, then a 1985 Hyundai Stellar, then a 1997 Hyndai Accent, then a 2003 Hyndai Getz and now she has a 2004 Hyundai Getz Sport. Then came the car that we still have, we bought it in 2006, its a 1996 Audi A6, 2,6L V6. Very nice car, with no rust or any problems at all. Hope that i can have this car for myself in next year maybe. Some time ago we had a Audi A6 2001 with a 2,4L, that we sold. After that came the one we just bought, a Mazda 3, 2006 with a 1,6L engine. Needed a fuel efficient car and that newer A6 had all kinds of problems.

Zyo
This is an interesting topic. I haven't a clue what they owned in the 70s before I was born but what I remember (and I may forget things) is as follows. Also I dont know the years of most of them.... From the late 70s: Hillman Imp Ford Cortina Triumph Dolomite Sprint Mini Metro (bright yellow) for some reason i remember the license plate - NBS131X Subaru Wagon (1986ish) Alfa Romeo 33 (1987) Volvo 340 (they didn't own it, but it was a long term loaner) Renault 11 Renault Clio (1992 first new car) Triumph TR7 (bought around 1992 as a second car - I learned to drive in this ) Volvo 740 (1987ish, bought cheap at auction as a temp car in 1997) MG Midget (traded for the Clio around 1998) Opel Vectra (1998 bought new) Nissan X-trail (2002 bought new, I think they still have this somewhere) Mercedes-Benz S-Class (current car, not sure of year) Theres a few cool cars there, and some real classics. A good few British cars too. There a few real [email protected] boxes there as well... trip
At one point my dad drove a Monza 2+2. What...did they like produce these pieces of crap for only a year or something? My memory is shot, so I really can't remember all the cars. Here are some memorable ones from my childhood, minus the Datsun - that one is just included because my dad always wanted one, so it is memorable when he got one. VW Bug VW Squarback VW Gia Datsun 280z Most of our cars were cheap ass american cars that my dad had for his company car. Later in life my mother had a Ford Escort the first year they were released. I actually got to experience the recall on the doors issue first hand. My sister was driving and while rounding a bend my door opened and there I was hanging on to the door with my feet doing their best to stay in the car(back before the seat belt craze). My mother also had a Toyota Camry the first year they were out. It was odd because it was a turbo diesel. AndrefromEstonia
I'll be 18 next month...but i won't ´be makeing driver licenses till next years January i think. If im lucky then i will allready be doing them this month, but i don't think so. Its just because there is no point in makeing them. I dont have a car, my mother doesnt want me to drive the Mazda in winter for some odd reason. And my dads car is about 300 kms away all the time. So no point in making the license. I do have that 86 Mazda at my country home...maybe if i clean it up(its standing in a barn right now) i could drive it. It's in a good condition. fireguy109
Dad's first car - '67 Impala. Back then, you'd get a beater winter car every year because the snow around here would cause major problems. They'd have demo derbies and play bumper tag and all that crazy sh*t. Any of you older members remember that? Trip might, since he's in Philly. He worked at a dealership for a long time. At this place, the employees got a new company car every couple months, so he always had one of the newest cars available to cruise. I was talking to him about it once and he drove, like, 40 different cars during his time there. He had an old drag car, a 72 Vega Wagon I think (plus or minus a few years), that he used to race with. He had a '34 Ford Coupe street rod he sold a few years before I was born. Two weeks later the guy he sold it to (great condition, built from the ground up) says he totaled it and is looking for parts. He has a 1980 El Camino SS Royal Knight right now that he bought new. He also has a 2011 GMC Sierra for towing and transport (with red lights - he's a fire chief). Mom had a multitude of winter cars and good condition cars as well. The last one was a '72 Malibu SS California car. Her mother has a '57 Chevy. My aunt bought the Malibu and has an 80s Camaro too. My uncles on my dad's side have/had a '69 Camaro SS, 1980 Trans Am, and a 2008 Mustang (Trans Am still owned). Lots of cars in my family.
