one more question can i mod the img's that were splitted...is the max of each still 4GB?

Yes, limit is 4 GB for each separate IMG archive.

 

As there could be max 128 archives or 256 (i am not sure if more than 128 IMG archives will work because it hits the limit of 8-bit signed int. Theoretical limit of gigabytes in total would then:

4 GB * 128 archives = 512 GB

I don't think you're going to have SA of 512 GB tounge.gif

 

Mod when gta3.img and gta_int.img is split up? Very easily possible:

Any of them. I've heard it crashes for some members of GTAF.

But i cant Have like cars 1gb, maps 1gb....like so right it wont crash?

@JF-Mir2+Marty McFly - Originally hex editing the richard burns rally dll only, but now made a 'hybrid' of sorts with richard burns rally d3d9.dll while loading enbseries v0.075 through ProxyLibrary. That way v0.075 is in charge of the shadows while RBR enb does the rest of the effects.

 

@spartaque12 -

 

country.img - 653MB

LA.img - 502MB

leveldes - 76.5MB

SF.img - 577MB

vegas.img 554MB

 

@MasterK - disabling under [EFFECTS] doesn't really work for disabling stuff, you'll have to find each value and put a 0 at the end to really disable a effect.

@imran_bx - with gta3_splitter, just create a folder called files in your model folder, copy/paste whatever mods you want to install...then run the script again. The limit for archives is 4GB, my game used to crash when my gta3.img used to go above 2GB....but others haven't complained of crashes when their archive has gone over 2GB. To be on the safe side just don't let your archive go over 2GB in size, if you want the size to go over then its up to you. I don't get any crashes with my archives being below 2GB.

 

 

Competition ideas?! Think WAR is a favourite one at the moment, but anyone else have a different idea?

@nWo: great shots as always, IMO a good theme would be oldschool, maybe imitating a style from the 1950's or 60's. btw: what's your reflection settings? I am never really satisfied with my ones -.-

It of course depends how you define "playable". For me, any of your playable settings cause lagg as my laptop really hates San Andreas. I can run Skyrim at low/medium settings with 30-40FPS, same as SA with low fx and reflection-only Enb. dozingoff.gif

 

Maybe define it to only use some specific settings? I mean, only reflection/bloom/CC or similar?

@oksa8 - I'm with oksa8 on that one, there are many definitions of 'playable' depending on specs. We could do a competition where effects like occlusion have to be disabled?
