Finally decided to try the new version of "gta3 splitter", and now I'm having crash at start up, even though I didn't install any mods and I already tried to re-install twice. Any tips? dozingoff.gif

@oksa8 - Whereabouts during loading does it crash? I'm sure this is a stupid question but have you copied the lines below into gta.dat? Do you also have ImgLimitAdjuster.asi in your directory?

Yep, copied the lines to gta.dat, and I do have the plug-in. It crashes at the start up, before any menu screen or similar, just black screen for few seconds and then crashes.

 

I think it's either problem with the script or it won't work on my PC, as it doesn't give any errors while using the script, and ImgLimitAdjuster.asi is surely working for me, at least last time I used it. I've tried without any other .asi-plug-ins (Which also means no CLEO).

 

Maybe I'll give it one more shot later this day... But does it work for others?

Right after your game is started or right after savegame/new game started?

Maybe a img file is missing or incorrect name/place tounge.gif

OR corrupt!

It happen to me many times with every img file splitter that the vegetation.img for example is corrupt.

Could be corrupted file or .img, but if it's working for others I think it's my laptop then. At least the old one which you posted ~20 pages ago worked perfect. smile.gif

@spartaque12 - Go into the scripts folder, each txt referring to IMG will have the list of all the files that are in each archive. Except for export.txt, that just extracts and deletes files from gta3.img.

@Butterbrot - Go to the first page of this thread and download ENB Newbies Pack, will have most of the ENB settings released on this thread and others.

@oksa8 - Crashes before the menu? Click Start and in the search bar type in systempropertiesperformance, click the Data Execution Prevention tab and add gta_sa.exe to the list. See if that fixes your problem.

 

@fastman92 - With PHP scripting, would it be possible to make a script that can retrieve and make a list of all the free available IDs in SA?

Did you try Free IDs List Generator? It's CLEO script for CLEO3 and newer.

Also if you want a list of model names assigned to IDs:

@Butterbrot - Dumbass-Production's SA Vegetation Pack 3.0 or Black Hole-PG's Perfect Vegetation V2 for good looks and performance. You could install Project Oblivion 2010HQ but its quite laggy. I use Perfect Vegetation V2+Behind Space of Realities palm pack. If you want better looking palm trees you can install Behind Space of Realities palm pack (BSOR) on top of any of the above vegetation pack.

@fastman92 - I did but for some reason it didn't work (Cleo 3 that came with Gostown). Tried it again and got it working now after installing Cleo 4 for Gostown. Thanks!

@Aimaster - For making radars, can try using Steve-M's Map Viewer. Also anyone with SRT3+HQ mods can now use his map viewer as we're able to split gta3.img into smaller archives.

 

Interesting sight...Gostown Paradise 6+Crysis Island+Few BSOR palm trees. Also deleting all the lods to free up a few ids.

can anyone check with SA Med Editor and find out from vegepart.IDE that sand_josh has a red x mark when you have to view the object ? I don't find sand_josh.dff either in 3IMG and I get this bug, problem, glitch, whatever it is.

@JF-Mir2, @GameModder8 - Wasn't that hard! tounge.gif First had to find out the list of free ids in the mod (hence the question above to fastman92). Changed the IDs in real.ide to ones that aren't used, then had to move the island away as it was right under the gostown island sigh.gif For the BSOR palms I just replaced Gp_Grandpalm1 & Gp_Grandpalm2 with two palms from BSOR.

 

Few more screens, couldn't upload these earlier as my internet was rubbish.

Here is a modified main.scm if anyone wants to install Cleo 4 for gostown...and not crash! Main.scm (Just copy & replace to data\script)

 

Download this for crysis island+bsor palms (only 2 different palms). Also includes procobj.dat which removes all of the buggy vegetation (don't copy this over in case you still want all of the vegetation as copying it over will make gostown quite empty in vegetation rampage_ani.gif) Just remember to add real.img, real.ide, real.ipl & veg.ipl entries into gta.dat! gostown_crysisisland

 

At least now I can add different map mods without being constricted by the mapping bounds which is filled up by SanAndreas!

Yep, did that already.

 

But, as I tried one more time, with full re-install and placing everything from scratch, I noticed that the rebuilder actually popped up. mercie_blink.gif And now it seems to work perfectly, no problems so far. smile.gif And if I understood correctly, to easily install mods, I just run gta3_spiller.bat again, and during the message I should put new files to the specific folder (called "files"?), and then let it do the rest? No removing of the current .img's or anything?

@oksa8 - Really? That's wierd! mercie_blink.gif Yup exactly, no need to fiddle around with the archives etc. Just copy n paste to models/files and let it do the rest. Glad its working. You can also use it for total conversions (to an extent), I just tried it on Gostown (wanted to extract/split all the vehicles, peds & weapons) and it worked fine (surprisingly!)

Which tools do you guys use for Vehicle Spawning / Skinchanging? Are you using many seperate mods&plugins just like normal map, gunshell etc.? or just texture and vehicle mods, map mods + enb and stuff like grass/timecyc...?

I personally use Car spawner 2.1

Author has written:

 

This CLEO mod is car spawner for GTA San Andreas.

It has implemented sorting algorithms, advanced configuration in .ini file, thus it`s deditaced for those who add cars to GTA SA.

In this case adding cars means adding car with ID not 400 <= ID <= 611, that is not replacing.

Version 2.0 has been complety rewritten, panel with sorted list of vehicles is being created.

They are sorted according to their actual GXT entries that appear when you enter a vehicle.

Therefore list is not static and relies on vehicle names.

Rotation of camera when car spawner is running works too if you hold on the \ slash key and move the mouse around.

 

Fully compatible with GTA San Andreas v1.0 [uS] HOODLUM No-CD Fixed EXE & GTA: San Andreas v1.01 [EURO] No-CD/Fixed EXE

Fully compatible with any screen (4:3, 16:9, 16:10... )

Partly Compatible with CLEO3
