Zera Posted September 14, 2011 Share Posted September 14, 2011 (edited) I've seen people asking for HQ Vice City weapon icons (myself included ), so I decided to make them. Also because I thought the default icons were in desperate need of an update, especially with today's monitors. Textures are 4 times the original size, they should look good even in the largest display available. Some weapons don't look exactly like the originals, that's due to lack of decent models. Some of the icons were made using the default models, as I thought they looked decent enough. Fist icon is not included, I recommend using OnePiece's. Some screenshot comparisons: I'm VERY happy with how these turned out, and I hope you will be too. This is also my very first mod, not too shabby I guess Mod should be available for download soon. Like the radar. Actually, I chose that texture to fit with yojo2's HQ radar mod. He used the same texture for the radar circle, and I personally think it looks really good. I can release a plain pink version as well if it bothers people (like in OnePiece's icons), but I don't think it will look very good against the detailed weapon models. As for the dark looking weapons, that's just a result of rendering them at a certain angle (also, the fact that they have textures applied to them). The reason I'm saying this is that the weapon textures are HD, but still closer to the originals and in overall, I don't think everyone would use yoyo's HQ radar mod. Would it be a big pain in the ass to release a clean border, with the gradient colors that are in the game default? That's why I even decided to make this mod. Even if he finishes his icons, our styles are different enough to be two separate mods. It's actually a slightly improved version, which now includes plain pink frames (for those who do not like the texture I used).
