San andreas crashes from certain cleo scripts

I have a problem, san andreas crashes from cleo 3 mods that ask you to replace effects.fxp and effectsPC.txd. examples are:

If you are already using an effects mod, chances are it has a modded effects and effectsPC. The mods you are looking at, will probably only ADD the needed effects to the default files.

What I would suggest is this: If you want to try one of these mods while already using an effects mod, merge them. Open your working effectspc.txd, AND the mod one you are looking at. Check them against each other. You will find that the mod one probably has a few special textures for its effects. Extract them, and then add them to your existing one. Then you would have to open the fxp file with something like notepad, and find the data entry that goes with it, and add it to your working file. Make backups first and remember that this does not always work. Good luck.
