cas-97
We've played The Godfather & II both great games but do you think it's time we had The Godfather III?
Creed Bratton
There won't be a Godfather 3 video game. I remember reading about that.
Chunk
The first one was decent and the second one was trash. I wouldn't be interested in a third.
Slingaa
The first one was decent and the second one was trash. I wouldn't be interested in a third. Agreed mate, Godfather II had some awesome ideas, but they were poorly implemented.
Banks.
I love the first one but haven't played the second one. I wouldn't mind a third one.
Mister Pink
Had the The Godfather, played it a little and it was kind of fun if you could get passed the wonkyness of the controls and other things. II looked OKish. I like empire-building etc and it looked to have had some great ideas but after watching videos of it I said I'd never buy it. What pisses me off is that they'd give the contract to an EA studio not a studio that has more experience in that sort of game genre. A company that is more innovative and willing to try new things. Instead we get a kind of a cartoony game with huge halo icons over and under people heads which is really annoying for me. If you are going to do a game based on one of the best crime films of all time at least work on it like you are trying to make one of the best games of all time. Seddo
I liked both of the Godfathers games, i enjoyed the building up the empire part in the second one but the constant attacks on my business got quite annoying at first as i had to drive everywhere to defend them. It made it much easier when i had a shed load of cash and goons that i could just fill all my business' up to protect them without my need. Although GF2 was very short it still kept me entertained for a few days and i only payed 9 quid for it. I would like to see another one made. SmC12
I didn't like Godfather II. I think the concept and the whole idea was great, but it just failed in my opinion. They could have made it so much better. The AI was annoying and so was the driving. The fighting had some cool features. But overall it was a let down for me. The way they implemented the multiple cities was great though, and so was the map features, something I think R* should take some ideas from. SIKKS66
Although GF2 was very short it still kept me entertained for a few days and i only payed 9 quid for it. I would like to see another one made. Same, saw it going dirt cheap and though "why not?" It had some good features- building up businesses, pretty solid customization of your player and crew, being able to build up a crime family with Capos and Soldiers etc- but was too short and the cities were too small. Didn't feel as strong or finished as the first game (which I owned on both PS2 and 360) but was an ok game for what I paid. I'd buy a part
mrpain
Never played II but the first one was one of the most entertaining sandbox game I ever played. I love roughing up stores and the melee combat system was perfect. I wouldnt mind a third one.
Creed Bratton
Both Godfather games are very fun. I played the first one a lot. I even got 100% on it. I loved it. I was pissed off that in Godfather 2 there was no way to remove the bulletproof vest and ammo belt once you got that upgrade. Character creator was very good, and having that vest all the time was really annoying.
Claude4Catalina
I think that kind of thing should always be optional, (this applies to both Godfather and other games) when you unlock abilities, you should unlock clothing to go with it, you'll always have that ability if you are wearing the associated clothing or not, but it'd make a nice touch to unlock bulletproof vests and bandoliers as clothing options as well as abilities. helicopter12
I agree - the first part was the best, the second dwindled, and I can only imagine the third would be the same! I would rather play something like Skyrama or Farmerama than play Godfather III ____________________________________ Living in a World of Tanks Edited September 14, 2012 by helicopter12
jking
from a making money standpoint EA could pull it off pretty low budget and make a killing off it but i hope they wouldn't do the godfather like that, if they do it go big budget mafia 1/GTA 3 style...make the true gangsters proud. I could see it working but it wouldnt be a AAA title so i dont think EA would wanna waste there efforts when another NFS has to come out or the next year of sports games needs to be worked on
xmangamer
the game is now facebook http://www.dotmmo.com/the-godfather-five-families-3942.html Edited October 16, 2011 by xmangamer
blitz
I wouldn't mind a new one, but I didn't particulalry enjoy the second one. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. It had a pretty solid storyline, but it seems as if the ideas weren't really expressed correctly, I'm not sure if I'm making much sense here... @xmangamer Fantastic.
