thejorens
Sooo... you have check up my birth date? Do you really think I would give out my real birth date on a forum like this. That date is the date of my country's independence day, you dope! You know what, enjoy your waiting, R* fanboy!! If I have to wait another year for GTA V to be released, I have no interest in buying it. And it seems I am not the only one that have that thought here in this forum. R* sucks balls! I'm sorry. I don't have magical superpowers that can read through a fake birthdate. I'm only human after all and assumed that was your real age. So with that in mind you must be a lot younger than your "fake" birth date implies? A teenager I'm assuming with your lack of maturity by throwing adolescent insults around like "R* sucks balls"? I'm not a R* fanboy either. I do want some info too, but I wont stoop to a immature level by insulting a game developer that in reality has done me no harm. If you let a game developer get to you like this I'd hate to see how you would handle any situation in person that actually matters. Also we'll see how much you "don't care". If you were sincere you would just shut the f*** up and get about your daily business. Not come into this thread looking for someone's shoulder to cry on, because the big, bad R* hasn't given you your game yet. EDIT: Looking at some of your earlier posts (some as recent as a couple of weeks ago) for someone who preaches that they don't give a flying sh*t about GTA V you sure have contributed to some of the threads in this forum. I bet you'll still buy it regardless. Normally when someones intends on doing something they don't want to they just do it. Not stamp their feet on the ground to a audience. Actually you're wrong again. The reason I post here because there are nothing interesting in other sub-forums (except maybe a few topics in Gaming Chat) and I just want to laugh at some people's blind faith here thinking there will a GTA next year. If it is coming next year or 2013, I will not be buying it. I am disappointed how R* ruined GTA by adding some really unneccessary features and took away the fun features in IV that epitomises GTA. Instead they give it away to the SR series, which a lot of people turning to now instead of GTA. So now I am more excited about SR3 and dissed those who think GTA V will be better than SR3. If R* continue the IV format with GTA V, I think not. this might actuall sound weird, but i liked iv better than sa...
gta_fan28
@Dabai Namona and Zee. I'm only asking if u are excited on GTAV not if u hate it and say bad things on R*. If u tired of waiting and u hate it that's up to u, just don't post you're hatred and anger on this topic to R* cause of lacks of news and info. Remember your not the only one waiting for news and info, we all also waiting too. Beside R* don't care if you hate them they're not big lose to u. GTAWithStyle
R* are just a bunch of useless pricks, there's no denying it. They are obviously working on GTAV right now otherwise they would've said that TBOGT was their last GTA. There is no reasonable explaination to why they have to keep it a secret at this point, they are deliberately trying to make the fans frustrated and they were purposely trying to rub salt into wounds by not announcing it at E3... When GTAV actually does get announced then I expect an apology from R* and a very good excuse as to why it took so long and if I'm not satisfied with their reasons then things won't end well for them!! Do you honestly think they are not working on GTA V right now? If they came out and said "We are working on GTA V, but we have no further details", people would be on here still crying. "The least they could do is give us a title, or a setting, or something". They are working on GTA, but they are expanding their horizons a little. Every other game they made thus far (Bully, RDR, LAN etc.) has been excellent IMO. Just my 2 cents.
Raptomex
I'm very excited for GTA V. But I know it won't be out for a while. But that's ok. There are other games to get and play. And as for Rockstar, Max Payne 3 and Agent will probably hold me over for a while. And with hope and a little bit of magic, hopefully they will develop a Manhunt 3 sometime in the future. HeNDo6750
This long frustrating wait of 4 years without GTA V better be a deserving one with a game to blow our minds of amazement and if not then Auf wiedersehen (goodbye) R* P.S I'm not from germany just wanted to say that on here if you don't mind. P.S again if R* doesn't announce anything this year then my hopes of buying GTA V is getting lower and lower Edited September 15, 2011 by HeNDo6750
Diesel311
According to this article, they probably don't want to make GTA V since, over the course of the franchise, have only sold about 114 million copies. Yeah, R* probably wants to turn their back on this franchise. http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/7164...-million-units/ Edited September 15, 2011 by Diesel311

Kratos2000
I expect you all eat your words and comments when GTAV come out. Especially to those who hate and not interested in GTAV anymore. Won't happen, Can't happen. GTA has became such utter crap, I can't even imagine myself playing the next game. I'm not even looking for it anymore. The pattern will be obvious - Unoriginal story, characters won't have any connection with each other, we'll have atleast 80 unnecessary missions and atleast 20 missions which are a must-have for the plot. Story-wise it will be awful and the only good stuff would be the city, vehicles and side features.
Duplex
I can understand why it took so long developing GTAIV, because the technology wasn't there, they had to build RAGE from pretty much the ground up. Speaking as a game developer myself, it shouldn't be taking this long. The game engine is already there, they just have to beef it up, create a new environment, story, etc. Most game developers would be done by now. Am I excited about GTAV? No. However, I am looking forward to it. If that makes sense.

CookPassBabtridge
I have to say Kratos2000 pretty much summed up the IV games in a nutshell.....IMO. I think its time there were a few screens or those fake ads which are always fun. Its looking like another year before release, and at least for me, the whole 'mystique' has worn off. V has as much to prove as any other game now

Algonquin Assassin
I have to say Kratos2000 pretty much summed up the IV games in a nutshell.....IMO. I thought GTA IV and TLAD had excellent stories (TBOGT not so much, but was still reasonable). I really do think it's pathetic how people are passing off judgement on a game that hasn't been any official information yet. Yeah GTA IV disappointed many and most didn't like it, but how about we wait until GTA V has been given some official word before saying it's going to be crap, or not? He's right, IV had too many filler missions that's why I preferred TBOGT over it, because it kept the missions diverse and didn't outstay its welcome. For the next game I wouldn't mind if there were say 60-70 missions and then add a whole lot more side missions and random encounters for the players that want more. The only way they can justify 90+ missions is if the game is as large and wacky as S.A.

True in many ways, but I think it depends how positive people feel about the series right now. Everyone has a strong idea of what needs changing, and there is a general agreement on a lot of it, but realistically will R* suddenly be able to shake things up? Or is it just too big a business to bother?

I believe it will be a nice, solid game, but nothing that's going to change the face of gaming. I'm just not a fan of these "GTA is dead" and "GTA V is going to be crap" comments, because of how negative some people feel. Who knows. GTA V may blow our minds, it may not. In all the years I've been a GTA fan I've never played a GTA game I haven't liked in some way, or another. They always seem to be very well put together games and it's not me being a R*/GTA fanboy as I enjoy many other types of sandbox games. It's just an honest opinion. I also hate the way people react to face this "delay", or "lack of official info", or whatever you want to call it... after a situation like this one and there's already some fans giving up on the series?... well, to me, it looks like they weren't that much interested on the game anyway, because if they REALLY were interested on it, they would wait the time it's needed to have it (which is my case BTW...). I'm not going to have a desperation feeling because I know how to wait in a calm, peaceful way, and if R* is having any "issues" with GTA V, then let them deal with it! If they want to release the game by the coming of the next year, then let them have it their way! It doesn't really matter to me, as long as they release the god damned game! I'm not going to hit my head on the keyboard because of this, no way... I totally trust on R*, so GTA V will look the way R* want it to look, and GTA V will get released when R* feels like doing so... GTA is a series that surely DESERVES some waiting time IMO, because, after all, we always get some fantastic GTAs! So, having this said, I'm fine with this waiting time... but if some of you can't deal with "waiting times", then it surely is a problem of your own, not ours... so we don't need you guys GUESSING that the next GTA will suck ass or things like that... if you really feel like playing GTA V, then bring your ticket and wait on the queue... if you're not interested, then your presence isn't needed around here at all anyway...
