The Game is on a "Digital Versatile Disc" optical memory medium.

It is not a Movie DVD.

You need a computer with a DVD drive to play the game.

Regarding only the DX the minimum DX is present on the DVD for installation.

For lag set all in-game options to minimum.

You might also try turning off the Frame Limiter.

my question is:if i uninstall direct x and in stalled an older version like (dx7)will the game runs smoother

That is NOT possible, as only DX 9 and above are supportedby today's OS's, which are Windows XP, Vista, and 7...Also, the game REQUIRES DX9 to run...

The problem is your Video card-it is Integrated and therefore it is Shared vram, NOT Dedicated..It is NOT a supported card by the game...Also, 32MB of vram is way below minimum for the game, as the minimum is 64MB for XP and 128MB for Vista and 7(according to the box the game comes in-V2)...

You MUST upgrade your video card in order to play the game properly...this is assuming you are on a desktop, as laptops CANNOT be upgraded, as the cards are soldered in...

I used to play SA on a XP Home SP2 laptop with a Sempron processor, 256MB ram(than 1GB RAM after I upgraded), and a SIS/VIA video card w/32MB vram and never got higher than 17fps(5-7fps if Fraps was recording)...and on a Vista Basic machine with a 1.5GHZ processor, 2GB ram, and a VIA/SIS card w/128MB vram, it was only like 2fps max...so, those are terrible cards for gaming(from experiance)...even that card on a desktop w/64mb vram and XP Home SP2 would not even run it...Just a few friendly heads up.. tounge2.gifsmile.gif

note-I hit reply and started typing BEFORE lil weasal did, but somehow this topic was moved while typing and his reply got posted first somehow..How does that always seem to happen? Just curious, as it happens quite often(the replying part, not the moved topic part)... confused.gif

For lag set all in-game options to minimum.

On those cards, that does not help at all-speaking from experiance, as noted above...

Do you have a desktop or a laptop?

What kind of Processor do you have?

What is your Operating System(OS)?

What kind of RAM do you have-DDR, DDR2, or DDR3?

To find the above information, go to Start, Run(if XP)/Search(if Vista or 7) and type in DXDIAG and press Enter, the the first page will show the OS info, Processor info, etc, then the Display tab will show the Video card info, and Sound tab=Sound card info...

Your Processor is good for the game, and since you have XP-your RAM is good too-the ONLY thing that it looks like is holding you back is the Video card..As long as you are on a Desktop, you should be able to upgrade the Video card just fine(you might have to get a new PSU though depending on what card you get)..however, if you are on a laptop, then you cannot upgrade the Video card, as it is soldered in...

That depends on what your current PSU is and what video card you get-some cards use extra power...

Editoral Comment:

1.) It isn't necessary to Quote unanswered previous replies, especially large ones. Use the Add-Reply or Fast-reply buttons at the bottom of the page.

2.) Please … When POSTING PICTURES try to select 640x480 or smaller for message boards and forums. so as to not stretch the forum. Or just use a link.

3.) Don't double post. If your previous posting is unanswered just use the EDIT button to add/delete/change the data in the last posting.

I believe your local Vendor as you quoted, and other replies to your threads (topics) come to the same conclusion. You need to Get A Newer Computer. Yours is too old to upgrade. No adjustments to The Game are going to make it run better.

Your PC is old, but i can run this game on 32 MB vc + 256 ram.

If your pc is full of programms, games and others, your pc will lag, all games aswell
