I am competent enough to edit minor files myself, yet this site does not provide for my laptop. I have spent the past 6 hours rummaging through the file database here and on google. I wouldn't spend that amount off time if I knew I couldn't do it. So this is how you would do it... You extract the files from the .img file, stick the files you want in, then compress them back to an img file. EASY i have done it with other games. SO! how come I still haven't achieved this yet? because none of the img extractors work.... as soon as I download then extract the download, it turns into a FKIN folder!! how the hell am I supposed to install that? IMG tool v2.0 is the that actually opens but upon opening it says and I quote, in brackets as you will see why (error has occurred in ") thats all it says... WTF is "? I might be able to sort it out if it told me who,what,where,when of the freakin situation! So I try googling how to open up any file type. I have installed several extractors with no succession. Upon so much failure, I have decided to take an od of sleeping tabs and beer and pass out in a mood. Because for some reason technology's FKIN with me today! I even signed up to this forum, just to express my anger at mainly my laptops and this website for not just putting up an exe for img extractor that works on my laptops. If anybody feels even remotely sorry for me and my windows vista sh*te stained laptop, please point me to a link that says www.google.com/program_that_opens_any_file_type and I'll go to sleep and wake up happy if there is one posted. Shed some light on this situation by giving the link to whatever you downloaded and what files there are in the folder you extracted. Also IMG Tool is obsolete, use Alci's IMG Editor or Spark. Thank you so much!!! Alci's img worked. I had used IMG tool, Gimg and sparks, for some reason my laptop kept on saying error for random reasons. as well as trying to go comando and use file extractors to do the job, alzip, winrar, and universal extractor. obviously this would not happen. But I remeber a year ago when I was modding TES3 and I'm fairly sure if I am not mistaken there was a program which extracted any game file in windows explorer. I have got rid of TES 3 now and its suporting programs and have consequently forgotten the name of this program, If it existed. I Yeh I am Sorry about the opening post, I was I such a bad mood as it had kept me up all night trying to figure the damn thing out. Every time I came up with a solution, it just failed.
