Wolf68k
eVGA's 8400 cards require +12V @ 18A. On the nVidia.com forums some says the 8800GTS requires +12V @ 24A. I can't find a direct reference for the 8800GT, at least without search until I'm blue in the face. However, we can assume the 8800GT is going to be closer to the GTS for its requirements. Your PSU says +12V @ 19A Also its only 300W and eVGA 8400 needs 350W and save to say the 8800GTS needs around 400-450W So I would say either get the card and get a new PSU to go with it or find another card and one that will work with that PSU. Finn 7 five 11
They only thing they are paying attention when they show how much power a card uses is just that, how much the card is pulling, not how much the card plus the rest of the system is pulling hence the reason a 400W is suggested I'm not a f*cking moron. I know the card's power draw isn't the only thing a PSU needs to run. When I said 8800GTs can run on 250w PSUs that's because I ran a system with a 9800GT on a 250w PSU. I ain't the mod, but take a chill pill, wolf was being nothing but polite explaining the facts, how was he to know whether you knew about such things or not? I don't think he was taking you for a chump.
