It won't work that way, because someone can just upload it onto another host and redistribute it that way.

what i`m trying to say is that you want mods to be more exclusive so you can show off, and be almost sure the other person hasn`t got it...

Terrible idea. Software doesn't work that way. What's to prevent someone from making copies of it and uploading it? Not to mention the obvious divide in the modding community this will cause.

 

If the mod itself is good and everyone wants it, any exclusivity set by the author is meaningless.

First of all, no one can see your car mod online, so if you just stop putting it out on the internet, no one can see it!!! I was pretty bummed that people couldnt see my veilside. And if you think vehichle mods crash servers, they dont for me. I thought that was odd.
