I started playing Vietcong, but there are some places where the game runs slow.My Pc is not really good to play this game, but at some places the runs with 60 fps+.Now there are a lot of options in this game, which I have no idea what they do.I need to know what should I enable/disable to get more fps.

These are the avaiable options:

Fullscreen

Triple Buffer

Disable Sounds

Prefer 16bit Textures

Disable DXTn Textures

Disable DXTn Lightmaps

Textures in system Memory

OR

Fit Textures in system Memory

And there is an option called Grass which can be enabled/disabled which says:

"This checkbox enables rendering of detail grass objects in the game.

And last but no least,my Specs:

Your PC was not made for gaming. Obviously it will run slow. There is nothing (short of upgrading) you can do about it. confused.gif

Long story short your PC wasn't made for gaming and if you want to play the game smooth you need to upgrade. Also I built a PC when I was 14, get a job and stop bitching (:

Look at my flag.Do you think in Romania you go to someone and say,"give me some work"?Maybe where you live,in here,no chance,I already tried that.I put it short

17 or lower=NO MONEY

18+=MONEY.

you could save money and buy a console, always comes cheaper than upgrading a PC.

Is Vietcong any good? I want another Vietnam game, but there aren't many developers out there that make good ones. The only developer I can think of is DICE (Battlefield Vietnam and BC2 Vietnam).

Is it good you ask? It's probably one of the f*cking best Vietnam FPS games out there. Still worth playing!

I've heard the first Shellshock 'Nam game is also pretty good.

Makes sense.2 Weeks after I got the Pc,we bought a DVD-WRITER,the Writer works, but the DVDRAM just doesn't for anything.I can't believe this is the problem...And before that, the Pc was wery quiet, even through the CPU usage was 100%.

Thanks! I will try to look for it, but nobody sells PC games. It's just dumb luck that I was able to find the Battlefield 1942 Collection and the Fallout Classic Collection at the stores. I also want that IL-2 game.

My PC can handle Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam, and I'm sure it can handle those games also. My PC just has some G31 or G33 chipset (or something like that).

This game is sorta like cod,but the campaign is different.I like this game better because the Newest cod games have all those ridiculous attachements which make the guns look bad.
