Here we go again! Now comparision of Angel Pine! Long story short, basically most of the buildings were changed ;)

 

1. Different house.

2. Missing safehouse in the flash map, probably at this point they werent sure where to locate them

3. Missing building in the beta.

4. That's interesting one. The place where we have the dirt texture in the released game, originally was covered with larger different house and grass area. You can see that in the flash map the fence was a lot closer to the warehouse. It's a Rockstar's mistake to leave it like that. Also the buildings weren't connected.

5. Same situation, different house, originally the grass area with the fence was extended very close to the Clucking Bell. Now there is an awful dirt texture instead.

6. Dirt texture strikes again, different buildings.

7. In the beta there were 3 houses instead of two. What's funny, when you go there and take a closer look at the grass textures, you can see the messed up terrain between the houses. The house on the right was closer to the curve on the road, you can see the empty place in the relased game.

8. All buildings were replaced, AND there is a beta screenshot showing the same exact place!! It's a big proof that flash map shows the real stage of early development which existed in the game!

I don't know whether has it been mentioned already here and I'm tired of posting it in various similar topics and threads here on the forums, but here it is once more.

 

It's regarded to the lighting effects inside the Ryder's house during the Ryder mission. You can actually see this in GTA SA PS2 Trailer #2 -released prior to the game's release ofc -  and ever since that trailer it has been removed in every SA edition, version and platform, check it out:

interesting the light in the final version was white in beta was red I will try to recreate and do my best to restore it.

I'm glad someone mentioned that building as I wanted to give a huge shutout to Ash as he released some pretty handy (and rare) images not long after I was working on this and one of the signs would've been impossible to find without him. I was originally using this image, no matter how hard I squinted I couldn't see the 2nd texture from the bottom.

CJ Evolution. 2nd Beta CJ kinda is almost same as final but...different eyebrows. Well, there's one strange head texture, which seems very early. Might be used in some point during SA development, probably early alpha.

Guess who's back! Another few comparisions for y'all, this time Doherty. 

 

1.There was extra building in the San Fierro Fire Station, don't know exactly what was the purpose but probably there is some kind of real-life counterpart to that at fire stations.

2. There were less destroyed buildings in construction site.

3. Now the interesting one. It seems that the destroyed building was different, with extended part going close to the road. And there is BETA picture to prove its existence

4. I wasn't sure if It's good enough to show, but it looks like there is some difference on the left, just it looks like something is partially covered with ground.

Number 1 looks like a tower for training and 4 just seems to be a bug

So this is more of a Picture Post & Commentary, but I thought it's worth sharing since I found it funny and kind of related.

A while back I've recreated the drive-through for Jimmy's Sticky rings based on the flash map and the model of one specific restaurant.. which I just now have noticed is the exact same model(with some minor edits of course) as the beta Jimmy's.

This of course is not uncommon from R* as I have said a few times(a great example is a few posts above) and it definitely makes my job a hell of a lot easier.

Old Venturas Strip, flash map finds :)

 

1. There was a hotel next to the casino, minor changes in placement of the signs

2. There was extra billboard with some characters on it. Since it's above the XXX Club, it was probably some girl, but I don't have any proof. Or it was totally different place in beta.

Beta Cargobob founded by @Son Of Big Boss. It has tandem rotors and based alot on CH-47 Chinook. Sry if the image is f*cking large cuz idk how to put spoiler.

So , i analyze this video very much , and i have a clue how to find San Fierro , Las Venturas , Desert , and Countryside Beta map .

So , go to your game files , go to models\txd and you'll see there is race file txd ( LD_RCE... ) . To Open i recommend you to use Magic TXD .

You see that Los Santos Beta map uses LD_RCE1 Race Map Files , right ? San Fierro Beta Map uses LD_RCE3.txd (race13) , Las Venturas uses LD_RCE4.txd (race18) , The whole desert + Half of the Countryside uses LD_RCE3.txd (race15) . However , another half of the countryside (Mt.Chiliad , Angel Pine...) uses LD_RCE4.txd (race20) .

 

Can someone combine every race maps to make a full map of GTA San Andreas Beta ?

Feel free to discover the map !! (But , there isn't yet a mod that fully restores the whole map) .
