Pretty much, Rockstar can't let their fans wait 5 years for a game, and as they usually do, they release their games in October - so October 2012 release date, in my opinion. Still though, all the rumors of January 15th, 2012 make me think that they're not useless. I mean, counting the months, we get exactly 9 months from January 2012 and October 2012, which sounds quite a familiar amount of time, although I can't find the source. Rockstar are a bunch of jackasses who take pride in well, causing mayhem. Which is why, i have grown to believe that Rockstar will be announcing GTA V, one of the days (or the day before) Call Of Duty XP is taking place in Los Angelas. Modern Warfare 3 is out this fall, and what better way to take the attention of gamers away from it? R* obviously wants to break the sales record MW3 will set. So why not have it sell a few less copies, and have you gain a ton of attention from all the people expecting to see MW3. This coincides with XBOX magazines report of GTA V will be announced later this summer, and also Call Of Duty XP is taking place in LA, the rumoured location of the next GTA. Think about the amount of COD fanboys paying attention to COD XP. Alot of people. So imagine the amount of people that would see the GT V announcement. Thats a good amount of people. Many of whom, probably have never played GTA before. Thats a bunch of new people that could be potential sales. However, I did just see a post that had a link to a page saying that R* North were hiring a UI/HUD Designer, and the HUD is usually a finishing touch, so it looks like more of a September announcement with a early 2012 release. Rockstar wants to have all the sales, that doesn't make them assholes, it makes them a business. They want to make money. And they don't make money by someone else getting that $60. Whether that is MP3 or Agent or, dare I say, GTA5 is yet to be seen. But think about it: Last year, RDR was wrapping up DLC in October and we had already had an announcement about their next game [LA Noire]. Fast forward to this year, and think about how LA Noire wasn't even a R*-only title (remember they have to share the profits with Team Bondi in some sort of split), so there's no way they are making the kind of money that they did last year with Red Dead or the year before with Episodes... PS4 is probably something for 2014-15 (that's what I'm thinking). Edit: at least that's what I read somewhere early this year. PS4 is probably something for 2014-15 (that's what I'm thinking). look at how they keep redesigning the ps3 and cutting the price - they did that for the ps1 not far before the ps2 was released and the same goes for the ps2. in 1994 the psx was released in japan, in 2000 the ps2 came out and 2006 the ps3 - 6 year gaps between systems, so 2012 would be the year for a new one. Sony has a "10 year plan" for their systems, and the PS3 will still be supported through 2016 and beyond but the PS4 is coming 2012 or 2013. It's inevitable. They will release a new system to compete with Nintendo's Wii U and get their system out before the next Xbox. They are the best by FAR. They always seem to put the product FIRST, and it always pays off. I'm just as anxious as anyone, but i know in the end, this game is gonna be EPIC! Now that 2dollars is for fiscal 13 which starts April 1, 2012. Now as Mr. Houser had stated in an interview clip i provided in another thread, they want to stay away from the holiday release window. The last three major releases GTAIV, RDR, LAN, were all in the Spring of 08, 10,11 respecitvely. IMO an announcement will be made shortly, or by the 26th of September when the shareholders meeting is. as TTWO needs some good news as the stock is now under 11 dollars. I will go with an ealry Spring release of 2012, i cannot see how and there is no way TTWO is going to make 2dollars a share without a GTA for Fiscal 13. I'd say since borderlands is coming March 6 i believe, then we will see a May release of GTA, which would cover fiscal 13 and then some. Max payne, borderlands, xcom will carry the fiscal 12.
