FN75
Hi all, I have searched around and hope I haven't missed any solutions to this. I've just reloaded GTA back onto my (Win XP) computer and I'm getting very loud engine-type noise from the right channel speaker which is about ten times louder than any other sounds in the game. It's extremely irritating as it blocks out everything else. It also doesn't seem to co-incide with any particular event, whether I'm driving or not, etc.. Even turning the sound off doesn't stop it - in fact, turning the sound off doesn't seem to turn all the sound off, and the only time I can hear certain sounds like phones ringing is when the sound is set to 'off'! Being so old I suspect there's a sound card/driver issue but I have no idea how to go about fixing those sorts of things. If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful. Sektor
Try running dxdiag and adjusting sound acceleration, set it to none or basic.
