TheGTARanger
Which two or more artists would you like to see do a song/album together? Here's who I'd like to see collaborate... -Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Twista, and Eminem (song) -B.o.B and Bruno Mars (album) -Frank Ocean and Lupe Fiasco (song) -Kanye West and Common (album) Those were just a few collabos I'd want to see. There's many more. You?
Rokas.
well, Kanye and Common, maybe, just maybe. Others you listed stink
Rhoda
Are we talking just hip hop or others too? For the sake of the subject, I'd love to hear an album with DOOM working with just about anyone. I hear he's working with Thom Yorke on an album and that just sounds fantastic to me. I've been listening to a some Ghostpoet and DELS lately too, and they both have this really soft, dreamy sound that would work well with somebody like SBTRKT working on beats. Rhoda
DOOM + Thom Yorke? You completely serious, man? dreams come true. Completely. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is working on a collaboration with the rapper MF Doom. In an interview with 3D World Magazine, Doom said "[We're] working on some duets," but further explained that their music thus far has been "preliminary sh*t" but that they will "probably end up doing a whole record together." Yorke had previously worked with MF Doom on a remix of "Gazzillion Ear," a track from the rapper's 2009 album Born Like This. Clickpiss.
Rokas.
That will be interesting. I have no idea how Thom Yorke and Doom will sound together, but that must be something new and awesome. edit: Just checked out that badass remix. Badass indeed. Edited August 17, 2011 by Rokas. Xeon
Oh wow, Yorke and Doom really does sound amazing. Unlikely as hell, but amazing. In terms of other collaborations, I'd really like to hear Pete Doherty collaborate with some more British musicians. It's been quite a while and that man is a ball of talent. Robinski
You've no idea how disappointed I was when it turned out that this "leaked" production document was proved fake: Very similar artists from different eras, would've been great to hear and even better to see if there were a video to accompany it. A lot of the themes they've both explored themselves overlap; androgyny especially (as seen below for one of the two). TheGTARanger
well, Kanye and Common, maybe, just maybe. Others you listed stink Why? @Craig I'm talking all genres of music.
Rokas.
well, Kanye and Common, maybe, just maybe. Others you listed stink Why? Because I do like Kanye West and I do like Common sometimes. But nah, that was just a huge maybe, that wouldn't sound too good probably.
KilnerLUFC
-B.o.B and Bruno Mars (album) Although I like both of these artists, I don't think they should ever do a collab album together. B.o.B has his own style, which didn't come across so well on the 'Nothin' On You' track, but on his album it comes off great.
T.Rez
Most of the collaborations that I've witnessed have satisfied me so I don't really have any dream collabos but I will point out a few that you'll surprised to know about. They produced this track DMX and Marilyn Manson Young Buck and Chester Bennington Busta Rhymes and Ozzy Osbourne Also here is Method Man and Texas performing live
locolow2011
One dream collaboration of mine is Radiohead and Pink Floyd, obviously that will never happen because PF broke up years ago and will never return. So i guess it will stay a dream then.
Rhoda
I've been a long-time fan of Zach Hill (of a band called Hella, among others) and his drumming, so to see him paired with another musician of similar experience and attitude would be dynamite to me. I love his pace and frantic style, and because he's self-taught you could say he's thrown convention out of the window in favour of a sound that pleases him. I don't know of many musicians that could realistically pair with him. I know this is "dream collaborations" but part of the excitement to me would be knowing it could happen. With Zach Hill, it actually could - as well as Hella he's part of a project called Chll Pll (similar plane of music) and of course, Death Grips, which is probably one of the most messed up hip-hop collaborations going. If I had to pick, I'd say Merzbow.
The-King
-Kanye West and Common (album) You've never heard Be I take it? Considering Kanye did almost all the production for the album as well as being featured on a number of tracks. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
JBC00PER
Lou Reed and Metallica. See what I did there? But nah it'd have to be NIN and Dillinger Escape Plan as both bands during some of NINs gigs came out to do Wish. Although a full album would be the ultimate dream. GreatGig
Lou Reed and Metallica. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh I mean, i respect Metallica and all, but that was just awful. Couldn't agree more. At first I thought it'd be something good. Then, I saw them on Jools Holland and I was blown away by how boring it was.
JBC00PER
Really is the worst colab everr, even worse than when they let Ja Rule (I think it was) use one of there songs that didn't make it on to St Anger as a backing track for one of his songs. Mister Pink
Apehex Twin and the Beastie Boys. I'd like some amazing breakbeats, samples and some great rapping. Also Luke Vibert and Beastie Boys. I seen The Doors and Skrillex hooked up and did work together. I hate when old fogies try do the hip thing and collab with retards. Robinski
Sorry for the bump but I just found out this was a thing that was meant to happen, but never did. Apparently, in late 2009 Kanye West and Lady Gaga were set to go on the collaborative tour: Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West and Lady Gaga. I genuinely can't think of two contemporary artists who would work so well together on stage, even with their musical differences. Both hilariously mental, outspoken and creative, it would have been a sigh to behold whether you liked either of them or not. I genuinely think the world is a darker place thanks to the cancellation of this tour.
autotheftisgrand
That would have been BIG for the pop music industry. IMO, they do have very different fanbase from each other though. A dream collab? Maybe a reunion of N.W.A. or something from Wu-Tang with another rap group.

B.o.B has his own style, which didn't come across so well on the 'Nothin' On You' track, but on his album it comes off great. It would end up being repetitive.
